The swapping of texts was consensual but not the sending of a dick pick. If you care to read the said texts you'll see she was flirtatious but he was downright disgusting and clearly she didn't appreciate the photo otherwise this would have died a natural death.

An extract from the Paine timeline in The West.

June 2018. – The woman at the centre of sexting scandal has correspondence with cricket authorities. She claims she was offended by “Mr Paine’s sexually explicit, unwelcome and unsolicited photograph”.

So I suggest you get your facts straight as Paine was not hard done if you compare his treatment to what happens in other workplaces including PHA.  

Yes it is disgusting but the fact still remains that the Cricket Tasmania investigation at the time found that the whole interaction was a one off consensual act between 2 adults and they did not make a finding against Paine, so the question is was that investigation a cover up or incomplete?
Also the woman could have lodged a police complaint at the time as this sort of action if unsolicited could constitute a criminal offence under Federal Communications law.  I don't think we have the whole picture here.
Anyway probably should get back to the cricket discussion. 

It wouldn't surprise me one little bit if there was a behind the scenes settlement with the woman to hush it up but for reasons unknown it's now come out. At days end, Paine's sacking was warranted and your apology is accepted.

And now we find that Tim Paine's brother-in-law and former Tasmanian spinner Shannon Tubb reportedly got into a spot of bother for texting the very same woman.
These Tassie lads certainly like to keep things in the family!

She is obviously a flirt but as usual she get's called the victim and her identity suppressed. 

And now we learn our Chairman of Selectors and fellow Taswegian George Bailey is not only a best mate but also business partner of Paine and has stepped away from the final decision on Paine making the XI.
For goodness sake he is not in the best 3 keeper/batsmen in the country!
Make the hard decision George, bring in Inglis or Phillipe who could possibly be our keeper for the next 10 years and dont allow Paine to be like Healy and play on a couple of years past his used by date and thus we all missed out on seeing Gilchrist for longer in the Test arena!

On current shield form, Philippe is the best keeper / batsman so far....runs and catches......Inglis will be doing well to dislodge Philippe from his current role....playing Paine is going to be a huge concern now he is  no longer Captain.....no cricket for how many months?

It now looks like Tim Paine has now decided to take leave of absence from cricket.
That is a good decision I reckon, him playing in the Ashes this summer would have caused a sideshow with the English media (and Aussie for that matter) having a field day, not too mention he would be a cannon fodder target for the Barmy Army.

Now we can get on with the job at hand and hopefully make a bold selection with our next Test wicketkeeper for the years ahead.

Carey will probably get the gig but I would like to see Josh Inglis in the team. I think he has the potential to play for Australia for a long time.
Hopefully we now can start focussing on the actual test series!
