Listening to a lot of TalkBack radio and professional anayalist of the Paine saga. How he will be replaced and with who.. Cummings seems to be leading the player revolt against Langer.With his old school hard man training and match preparation..Not sure this is the right captain option for this summer.Or while JL is still there as coach.

What an absolute shambles. ACB you lot are laughing material. No way I could stomach Steve Smith being reinstated as captain. Leadership material he ain’t. He proved that unequivocally in South Africa when he knew what was going on and failed to show leadership and nip it in the bud.

Cummins and Langer?? Don’t tell me JL wasn’t aware of these lewd text messages between Paine and another woman while he is married yet he has always put Paine up on the highest of pedestals. And a bloke rang 6PR today and said the biggest culprit white anting JL was none other than Mr Cummins.

Can we wheel Bobby Simpson back out there for a third stint? Is he still alive? Maybe this is the moment for a woman to be the new chief of cricket Australia? Christina Mathews has earned it. She’s got the runs on the board. Time to do away with the old boys culture.

In hindsight, both Cricket Tasmania and Cricket Australia erred badly by letting Tim Paine's misdemeanour go through to the keeper.

Really concerning that Paine who has played no first class cricket for how long?...is still in Aust test team now he no longer holds that ace  up his sleeve of being skipper.....madness if he plays v Eng.....saying that Inglis hasn't batted for how long?....Carey hasn't made a run so far this season......the only two keepers in any semblance of form at present are Philippe and Pierson......surely they should be in the reckoning?.'....yep big ask but they both have catches in the gloves and runs on the board in red ball cricket under their belts this season.....yet the fella coming off rehab, with a first grade outing under his belt, is at the front of the queue to play in an ashes series.....if his name was Gilchrist, then maybe....but it's not.....

I'm not defending what Paine did in any way but I find it laughable that the Australian Cricket Captain is held to a far higher level of integrity and ethical behaviour than the Australian Prime Minister and his mob of Cabinet Ministers. Perhaps Tim could go into federal politics after he retires where I'm sure he will be able to behave how he likes without any scrutiny.

Ah yes parliament house, what a culture with staff bonking in the prayer room, cabinet ministers sleeping with junior office staff, Young women being allegedly raped in parliament house at 2am. Give me a break, I'm not exonerating Paine's behaviour, I'm just pointing out that he is being judged by a different standard to the people in more responsible positions.

Paine is being judged by community standards. All the incidents you refer to with the exception of the alleged rape were consensual. Cleary Paine's dick pick was unsolicited and not appreciated by the victim. It sounds like you're condoning it to me just because others are doing things you believe are unacceptable.

Really? It has been reported in every news source as a consensual act between 2 adults so not sure where you are getting your information from. The CA investigation at the time found that he hadn't breached any code of conduct which would not have been the case if they had been unsolicited. Sounds like you might need to get your facts straight before casting your judgements over others. I repeat I am not condoning his behaviour.
