Whatley had a run in with Lyon when he went to the Dockers from St Kilda so I think that may cloud his judgement somewhat. I think professional commentators need to look beyond their own personal biases and be a bit more objective about the game.

I consider that two errors almost either end of the game cost us.First was the miss by Mayne. Gets a free, thirty metres out, almost directly in front. Bread and butter for a ten year old.Fremantle have the momentum. The crowd is up and fing urging the boys on. He misses. the crowd go flat. Hawthorn take charge and kick two goals. Kicking goals like that is what he is paid to do.
The second was again when Fremantle had the momentum, nine points the difference.From where I sat the Hawks were tiring. The ball is kicked across goals to Sutcliffe. Who incidentally had time to roll a durrie. He drops the absolute sitter and who is there... Cyril. He kicks a goal. Game over.
That dropped mark cost us the game.He will have to live with that blunder for the rest of his football career. It will either make or break him.
We had our chances, but at crucial time of the game we made fundamental errors, such as the two I mentioned.
To Nat Fyfe, what a heroic performance. Playing what some have described as close to a broken leg, he played out the game. He showed some of the others what they require to be called a champion of the game.I read some thing funny, one journo sdaid that "Fyfes leg GOT in the way of a rampaging Brian Lake. GOT IN THE WAY!!!!

Like you Grump, it never ceases to amaze me witht he snipers who come here constantly to bag clubs, mainly the Dockers. I won't mention Bazza, cum, Bobby Skilton cum SA&.But lately known as Multi.
But the after game heroes who know Jack shit come out blithering like the idiots they are.
But well played to the Hawks and just to skilled and professional for he boys.

Think you'll find it was Tom Sheridan who dropped that mark Anchor. The final margin flattered Hawthorn somewhat IMO because the game was still live until that Rioli goal as you said. Your boys gave their all and should be proud of their efforts this year. Sheridan can use this experience to make him more skilled stronger and more determined next year. If it is the end for Pav and Luke they can take their place amongst the wonderful players that this great game has seen.

Just a little thought from my minimalist brain but would not the idiot in the video be a member of one or other of the clubs involved, fairly high chance i would have thought, so one would expect that the relevant club will make a comment and ban for life. Also the ticket was sold to an individual and the agency responsible for selling the tickets and providing them would be able to identify the moron so surely there will be a consequence for the action legally, morally and emotionally.

Finals tickets are sold by AFL & Stadium, it is their requirement to respond to this and now in police hands take it's due course. Think Freo will get the information handed on, and take action if a Member from there. I don't see why people think they have to tie this up inside 12 hours.

By the way AFL did release a statement this morning, Domain, this afternoon, why people are blaming the FFc is beyond me, the actions of last night are no doings by them.

If the reported numbers of ejections on the night is correct, I am sure FFC will be perusing list and revoking memberships down the track

Fair summation anchor. I though there were 3 game killers - the missed goal by Mundy and that dropped mark. The 3rd I hate to mention because I have never been an ump basher, but I did think the Hawks were give a lot of leeway in the first part of the game.
