And it gets back to West Perth wishes. If they want to move or not. I'm not really familiar with the club. They seem to have put a lot into the Arena and may not wish to move?
And the $8000 charge for parking seems to be a bit of a scam.
Then again, West Perth only basically being one of the tenants there apparently? Which probably not being financially viable for them? I'm not sure how the business model works there?

The Mayor of Joondalup Albert Jacob has been bleeting lately about Joondalup becoming a city to rival Perth. There has also been talk of a 3rd AFL team out of WA in the future based out of guess where? Joondy!! Maybe Venues West and the City of Joondalup have grand ideas of a third WA AFL team being based at Arena Joondalup and they see West Perth as being in the way?

Didn't realise he'd been saying that. I don't hear a lot of Perth news over here at rabbit flats.
If that's the case West Perth would simply be seen as being in the bloody way.
And big business wanting to always get it's own way, means West Perth could be cactus!
Which means it may be necessary to move?

Seeing as West Perth FC is under the powers of the appointed administrators & the WAFC , logically any relocation would be at their recommendation/discretion at this point in time

I believe Subiaco & East Perth have sunk $$$ into Leederville Oval facilities and would likely be reluctant to relocate given this
So could 3 teams share Leederville Oval? it would mean West Perth would play some games elsewhere because 3 teams don't go into equal numbers of matches unless there are double headers with night games involved or early starts

There has been alot of talk about cost of facilities for all wafl clubs.

Been plenty of talk around.

A year or two ago the WACA wanted a wafl team to anchor there. There was talk that Perth and East Perth co share. West Coast Eagles don't want Perth at Lathlain.

East Fremantle and South Fremantle to co share Fremantle Oval.

Subiaco has been mentioned to go back to subiaco oval because it can be redeveloped like Claremont oval.

West Perth to move back to Leederville as a stand alone tenant.

City of Joonda3wants HBF Arena, but it all depends if West Perth stays or goes.

These are the stories I've heard at the 18 games I go to each week.

The WACA will be redeveloped eventually but into what will ultimately reside with State Government departments - most probably another East Perth precinct
Subiaco Oval has already been decided & will be open space & School
Perth have done a deal with VP Council & WCE and will remain as a tenant
Eventually Fremantle Oval will house both clubs once the FCC vacates & moves into it's new building

Just a small point.
The WACA Ground is 100% owned by the WACA and the members will decide what becomes of it.

Nothing ever comes of these. I reckon town of Vic Park did about 10 of these and nothing came of them.

Had a read of ef council effort. Classic dog walking carry on, going nowhere.
