UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD THE TAX PAYER FOOT THE BILL.

It's not a piss in the ocean to me, kinda obvious one would think. But in regards to footy it is. Christ they are paying more per year to some footballers.
I am asking the WAFC to foot the bill not the tax payer. Football in this state generates million in profits every year, I don't think it is really that much to ask to help a club that has given this state so much over a long period of time. It does not excuse the board and they should be turfed and replaced with people who do it better.

It does not excuse this situation and those in charge need to be removed and the WAFC can put their own bloke in charge for a couple of years but enough is enough.
Peel were given 400k. West Perth deserve a hell of a lot more than that.
The WAFC have the money to clear all of this and get on with things. What are they trying to prove here? And why are they using our oldest club to try and prove that point with.
The government bailed out the Eagles in 89. West Perth are as deserving as any football club ever in this state to be bailed out. It's a piss in the ocean the amount of money we are talking about here. The WAFC can easily cover it. These pricks better not let this club die.

Are West Perth to repay the money - or is it just a case of here you go, no need to pay us back?

For what west perth have put into the coffers over 100 years maybe have to pay back half over the next 30 years. Peel were given 400K............. Not required to pay back. Peel v west perth contribution to WA football?
No brainer.

I do agree in principle that the WAFC have a responsibility to assist the WPFC in their hour of need , however I would like to know more about the apparent oversight of a previous CEO (Who is now a WAFC employee) by not disclosing the debt situation /position to the WPFC board?
No brainer that the current board needs to be moved on but there needs to be transparency and accountability for what has occurred to ensure that it does not happen again in the future...

Of course the WAFC could just sit back and let the process take its course and if and when WPFC is wound up, issue a new licence to the Joondalup Falcons FC with no debts, a new board, a bit of cash from the WAFC to get going, strict overseeing by an independent panel initially and finally have a presence in Joondy attuned to the local community. I'm not saying that will happen or even if it should...but it could be an attractive prospect to Taylor and his mates.

Every cent diverted to WPFC from the WAFC will come at the expense of other WAFL Clubs,
The WAFC is not actually that flush with funds it self, you need to understand the WCE and FFC have the cash not the WAFC.

BTW $250,000 has already been handed over to your club so they can finish this season , the WAFC are currently paying your players and coaches.

All that money needs to be re paid so that no other WAFL clubs are punished as result of WPFC negligence.

Be interesting to see how many of the local community attend Joondalup matches without the West perth supporters? They wouldn't fill two rows of the stand up.

That actually sounds like a business plan to me.

Lets face it , if I was a small business man that had done work for WPFC, and was owed $100 bucks and was offered an insulting amount of $4 bucks as reward , I would be refusing it Point Blank, as a way to make it clear to those that had ripped me off that it was not on.

I agree with that, and again why can't the WAFC sort it out. Then even ask for West Perth to pay it back over 30 years.
