The Loton's club is an official coterie group of the EPFC so I would say it's a bit of stirring....and agree....I don't think some would take it too kindly.

As you said it is rich coming from a club which is only financially viable today becuase they sold their soul to an AFL club.

And gets replaced by the WAFC. Careful what you wish for.

This is not out of any malice but i reckon one possibility is that they will become the Joondalup Eagles and have to put up with being the reserves team so that the presence is maintained in the north.

I can't see how that would work logistically Grump with the Eagles based at Lathlain and their ressies playing up near the Equator.

Neither do I think that it would be viable and shouldn't happen given what I have had to put up with but I keep trying to work out how WP are going to get out of the poo! If we accept that the $800k is accurate and I reckon it may be more just from comments elsewhere then the WAFC aren't going to cough that up, with new sponsors for a Joondalup side won't cover it.

I am just trying to find a plausible and rational solution and given the silence it makes you wonder!

Yep but the members or a large body of them didn't, so what happens to WP if the commission makes the decisions and has the strings for the bail out!

Yeah I wondered if it was legit actually, if it is true I would be concerned about the health of any East Perth supporter who tried to hand a black armband to a West Perth fan.

What does that mean Astro?club will be run by the WAFC?

All just a bit of light-hearted banter, Mike, something that seems to've gone by the wayside in recent times (both on this forum and in general society).
Lotons has done a lot for the EPFC and are just stirring the pot, just as the wooden spoon was used to stir up Tony Micale back at Arena Joondalup in 2009 (see article below).
East Perth and West Perth have a rich tradition of baiting (beating) each other, and long may that continue.
The arch enemy they may be, but I hope West Perth survives as the WAFL wouldn't be the same without them.

"Feelings are still running hot between the two camps though they may not be quite as blazing as the Foundation Day derby at Arena Joondalup in 2009.
That was the day that West Perth faithful were kind enough to bring wooden spoons to the game to remind Royals coach Tony Micale and his assistants that they were in charge of the reigning wooden spooners.
The Falcons won by two points that day and there was an ugly incident at the end of that game when Micale was struck by a wooden spoon."

Have woken to the interesting and double edged article in the worst abt the WAFC taking out the rights to the preferred names for the soon to be defunct WP Falcons.

Seems not only will they be beholding to Venues West and the Joondalup City Council but the WAFC. That will really be a bitch or being the bitch, you decide!

As for the name calling you might need to get outa your wet brown paper bag before making aimless threats.

Damn I should of registered those names so they could not use them..

And Grumps you better tell your bozo mates down there not to hand out black arm bands to WP supporters because the way we are all feeling at the moment your going to get an incident, and it’s not a threat mate more of a promise.
