AIDS, Bubonic Plague, Donald Trump and the GFC are all the fault of the WAFC.

By mentioning the Plague I assume you mean your club Subiaco?

I feel for the WAFL as it is WA's premier footy comp, but i do wonder what would be the situation now if the WAFL DID find a way to exist in the era of local AFL, DID change with the times decades ago when the afl arrived in town, or did find a way to become more relevant to their aligned zone clubs. BTW, smart business would be that if you set up a cafe business in Wanneroo you dont call yourself Leederville cafe. How many people has this confused over the last 20 odd years let alone COJ. WP had a tough challenge when they moved to Arena and that would have sucked but I hope the falcons find a way out of this mess for the longer term and that the broader wafl comp and clubs understand how the rest of the footy world outside of their bubbles perceive them. Just saying.

Bullwinkle doesn't the WAFC run junior footy these days? I will point out that the two WA domiciled AFL clubs' licences are owned by the WAFC. The WAFC could well and truly finance at far higher levels than they do currently if they had the inclination. But as I have pointed out several times the vast majority of the decisions they have made in the past 20 years have been detrimental to the long term viability of the WAFL and WAFL clubs.

Prior to the introduction of the West Coast Eagles things were said that were patently not true. The impact of the introduction of the Eagles on WAFL attendances. The introduction of the Eagles would ensure players would stay in WA rather than go to Victoria. We have heard similar claims that with the host club alignment that attendances would increase. I think BC might be able to confirm whether figures of 5.000 were suggested would attend WAFL games.

Why give the WAFL clubs more money, have u not learnt anything from the title of this thread? The WAFL clubs will only pilfer it.

Please state your basis for that claim. Do I think Gavin Taylor is worth $300,00 per year? Divide that by 10; subtract $25,000 and then I reckon you would be getting closer to in y opinion an appropriate salary.

Conservatively the WAFC would have frittered away a couple of million NOT getting the management rights to the new stadium.

The biggest mistake was made 30 years ago when they decided to redevelop Subiaco instead of redeveloping Perth oval. The late great George Grulisich even said that.Unfortunately small minded people made sure that didn't happen and we ended up with a hotch potch Subiaco Oval.As soon as footy had to move to a location which wasn't under the control of footy we were at the mercy of the people who paid for the stadium.

Would like to hear more from West Perth supporters.

1. Has revenue started rolling in from the new facilities?
2. Has some of the debt come from the new facilities? I thought it was fully funded from various grants.
3. I could forgive you if you need to align yourselves with the Eagles for 5 years to clear your debts. I don't think that's a good thing for the competition but it's a lot better than folding.

WP are going to find it hard to find a good replacement coach if Bill Monaghan walks at the end of the year as has been reported.
