Apparently due to start at 6pm.

In my life time and I am pretty sure in last 100 years, this is the first time a WANFL WAFL club has gone into Administration..

Subiaco went through a bad time 1979 - 1982 , but I don't think administrators were ever called in..that was the worst economic crisis I can remember for a club.

SFFC had an emergency in 1991 the save our south campaign , saved the club without administrators.

Just a quick note, I do surveys as part of a Neilsen panel, yesterday I did a survey which as questions abt sport in WA but went into the WAFL. It asked in detail abt the WAFL, what would make me go, what changes need to be made, what could be offered and so on, it had suggestions to be rated on how to attract families, kids etc most of which were good, reducing prices, give aways etc.

In summary it was a good survey and did not dwell on the past but was attempting go forward and it was not on the WAFL website but the panel of folk contributing come from a diverse background
We live in a time where intelligent people are being silenced so stupid people won't be offended

I agree. They may have to bite the bullet and embrace Joondalup in their name as they have been missing out on sponsorship. It would be a better option then a alignment but $600,000 is a lot of debt. The only other options are merger or to fold.

Some incredible stuff coming out, they got 50K from the WAFC at the start of the season to pay players and then another 50k from a member a few weeks ago to keep paying them.

The Kingsway Football and Sporting Club have been at Kingsway for 40 years this year and have a ongoing lease with the City of Wanneroo. With 750 juniors 4 Senior Teams, 2 Masters Teams and a Intergrated team and 1 oval to play on.Its a full time gig open everyday except Mondays and run as a business with darts, bingo and functions.
Good Luck moving them along...

Gareth Parker speaking to Gavin Taylor in a few minutes on 6PR.
Get on your bike.

If potential sponsors have said that they will pump money into the club if they change the name to Joondalup then it is a no brainer really.
Much better than the alternative options. I know the traditionalists will be upset but better than having no club at all.
