It was an interesting read in today's West written by Joh Townsend re the distribution of the gate takings for tomorrow's preliminary final at Joondalup. According to the article 70% goes to West Perth and 30% goes to "East Perth". It is also reported in the article that "West Perth expect that at least 1,000 Swan Districts fans will attend the colts (sic) and reserves (sic) preliminary finals."

The two crowd figures suggested for tomorrow are 10,000 and 7,000. Further the article indicates that with a crowd of 7,000 the net gate revenue would be about $140,000. With that scenario why does Swans get nothing from providing one-seventh of the total crowd?

Yes!, you get to spend money at lakeside shopping centre, and get to experience the marvellous suburb that is Joondalup, what else could wish for s42?

It is simple: either all clubs participating on the day should receive some of the revenue or it should be played away from the league final and with no entrance fee payable for the colts' and reserves' preliminary final.

Too I believe that the method of distributing revenue from the finals has changed this year.

58s the figures are the ones from today's West article. I did not make up the figures re expected crowd attendances or net gate takings. Similarly, the percentage of the net gate revenue is quoted from the article. The only figure of mine is that 1,000 from 7,000 is 1/7.

So what you are saying swan is that from now on, every person that walks through the gate states his club preference so that at each game, the gate takings are spread evenly? OK, so EF v SD at bogan oval - gate is 5000. There's 2500 EF supporters, so they get 50% of the gate takings? FFS mate, you've lost any sense of reality.

Not sure if it's already been mentioned but the $25 entry is a disgrace and so is the $15 for regular season entry! And pls don't get me started on the $8 cups of can beer this joint serves up.

VFL finals are only $15
