How can anyone be so delusional to think the the team that is currently third on the league ladder is the Peel Football Club? How many AFL aligned players played for "Peel" last week end? 16! How is that the Peel Football Club?

Have a look at where the Peel Football club is in the reserves? Peel Football Club have not made the league finals and that will continue in 2015. A journalist suggesting that Peel will play in their first league finals this season have the same level of credibilty as the WAFC.

to their endless failures
to sucking the system dry
to not creating an ounce of interest in Mandurah

You have miscalculated that Astro as there were 16 Freo blokes, 4 recuits- Jones, Ugle, Jetta & Bootsma leaving only Mathers & Hancock as the only 2 players to come from the Peel region.
Absolutely pathetic from the WAFC to allow this to happen and their supposed charter is to grow the game in your local district with local homegrown players from said!

Actually my first reaction on reading the article was that it was taking the Mickey.
Townsend is one of the few journalists in Perth who knows something about the history of the WAFL and appears to care about the competition. This team is clearly representing the Fremantle Dockers and any resemblance to a Mandurah team is entirely coincidental. The pity is that a genuine WAFL team is going to miss out on playing finals because of this mob.

Was happy to give them Jones. Was there before alignment but coach kidding himself to say Mandurah and club is should be excited.
