LOL.....I don't live on the sub continent, SA and Eng either and the Aussie cricket team aren't going to win a popularity contest in any of those places either....you just have to read social media......

Sadly some one had to make a stand, because the stand the ICC was taking obviously wasn't a strong one...but hey everyone has their opinion on what's fair and what's not........not sure two wrongs make a right tho.

This site is as social media as I get Freez. I accept our men's national cricket team is polarising - to put it mildly.

The next 12 months will be interesting to watch

Essendon tried something on the local stage & were hung. These buggers did it on the world stage & yet some cry the penalties were too harsh. Bancroft knew what he was doing. He could have declined but decided to be the bunny.. Interesting point is NO BOWLERS were implicated. Surely a bowler would know if the ball had been tampered with.. CA is too weak & soft..
Warner arrived with garbage & left with garbage..Only losers are Cricket & Bancroft.

I think Bancroft should be ok? Obviously will serve his time. After that, will need to work hard to be considered for the national team again. One advantage, he's still young and obviously will learn from the affair. Although he's learnt the hard way. Apparently is totally out of character for him.
Listening yesterday, sounds like Warner is toast? Although hard to predict the future. Apparently he's taking time out for a while to contemplate.

Just watched Cameron Bancroft's press conference. He may have so hope for some redemption. It will be a very illuminating press conference if Warner gives a press conference.

Just waiting for the Steve Smith conference.

I note with interest that Channel 9 have won the rights to Australian tennis. Another hit to CA with respect to the new tv cricket deal I suspect.

That was an interesting development Swan, After 40 years I wonder if they let go of the tennis to be able to show more of the AFLW??????

Interesting interview from Steve Smith. Full of contrition BUT not one word of apology to Cameron Bancroft.

It was pointed that he took responsibility for the actions of Warner).

.
Did this twat just equate the Essendon drug saga with ball tampering, for starters Smith owned up to it, the drug cheats at Essendon deflected and deflected until CAS came over the top.

The punishment imo is over the top, CA have bowed to the flogs on social media who will no doubt be at it again when the Australia cricket team start losing tests , Smith losing the captaiincy and being suspended for three or fourth would of been enough,.
