Surely? I wouldn't be so certain, the Australian batting line up is well known for their capitulations though you would think that they may have enough runs on the board already.
However when you are bowling to a batting line up that has someone at number 10 with a test hundred and about 10 fifties to his name, then on paper they obviously have depth.

One can only wonder what 42 must think of some of the English cricket team behaviour not only on this tour so far but also just before they had left home in a certain Bristol establishment?!

Both sides have had their angry ants for sure....can understand to some degree the likes of Warner, Smith, Jimmy and Broad mouthing off....they have the runs/wickets on the board to chatter....not so sure why Handscombe is mouthing off.....make a 50 today Pete and that will be the best way to wind up the likes of Jimmy and Broad......actions always speak louder than words

Went up the road to watch Stokes play in Rangiora.....obviously first time playing some outside cricket for a while...didn't bat long enough to look rusty....bowling was very Stokes like....no Trent Bridge swing to make him look good sadly....looks awfully skinny too TBH....stress must be eating away at him....obviously early days but reckon him playing in the Ashes wouldn't be such a bad thing.....

The two maligned selections hold the key for a 350 plus lead....fark Hanscomb needs to go definitely a contiki batsman with all his 18-30 shenanigans.....can't have your number 5 making stars and not good enough to go beyond 30 odd

This series is far from over in fact i think the Poms have gotten completely into Smiths head looking at his ridiculous over the top leaves in this Test.

Smith looks a beaten man and will have to take full responsibility for the impending loss.

I reckon the Poms have got inside his head BH, although I still think the Aussies are favourites to win.

I could not fathom the first innings declaration mate sort of thing that leaves time available - and it's now taken the foot off the throat

The wicket and the Pink ball have been unpredictable. Sometimes the ball swings other times it doesnt. If Root gets to the end of the first session. The Poms are set up.The Aussie fast bowlers will be bending there backs early tommorow. If Root goes early ,England are no chance.
If this game goes to the wire it shows both sides are evenly matched. There both better bowling sides than batting sides.
