As opposed to Emperor Barnett who was in charge of a government that despite a mining boom lost the state's triple A credit rating? As opposed to Emperor Barnett's claim prior to the last election that the light rail project was both fully costed and fully funded. As opposed to Emperor Barnett's promise NOT ONCE BUT TWICE that there would be a rail line to Ellenbrook. As opposed to Emperor Barnett's promise that Ellenbrook would have a rapid bus trqansit.

Do I need to continue?

You miss the point 42, i did say Mc Cowan deserves a chance, best thing he could do is keep his mouth shut, every day a new committment to a minority group. I have NO time for Barnett, but Mc Cowan is starting to sound like a savior for us ALL, of which he is NOT. Pity i dont know ya personally mate, cos i'd bet aa ctn that metronet will NOT be up and running in a decade.

Of course the entirety of the Metronet will not be up and running within 10 years. What will be up and running are stages of the Metronet system and the planning for the other parts within the next 10 years.

To Raise old hackles about Labor being Soft on Crime is Predictable as Mud.

Who's Been in Office for the past 8 years, with more than enough opportunity in the past 4,with a 2 Houses Majority for the Coalition,to tighten loopholes that allow judges to impose so called soft sentences.

It was up to Barnett and Co to Push through Legislation on Law and Order and if you felt so aggrieved about Criminals walking free or getting soft sentences, whilst victims of crime got trampled on,you should have squarely pointed the finger of blame at the Coalition.

So why didn't You?!

You are just another Mouthpiece for Conservatism, aren't you?!

You are a numpty, check the alps record on mandatory sentencing they have OPPOSED it on every occasion, thats the blokes point.

I would have lost my job had submitted reports in this way, even their own numbers contradict their conclusions. What a circus.

Bazza you are so wrong. If the ALP win this month's state election there will be progress in the new government's first term in building parts of the Metronet. The funds from the cancelled Roe 8 project will be put towards building part of the Metronet. Yes, I know that Turnbull has threatened to withhold the funds; but he won't. The reason why he won't is because he will lose several seats in WA based on an ALP campaign highlighting the Liberal's withholding those funds, their treatment towards WA of GST funds etc.

Further it is clear that the ALP is the only government that WILL build railway lines (e.g. the northern line; Mandurah line; re-opening of the Freo line; etc.).

Given most pundits are predicting that Sneakers is a dead set certainty due to the Libs and Barney being totally on the nose, why does he feel that labour need to go on this spending spree of "promises". We've had 8 years of many unfulfilled promises, sadly it appears we can look forward to at least 4 years of the same.

SS given Perth's projected population growth one of the most important productivity improvements will be to develop an improved public transport service: hence, the Metronet.

Yeah Pigs Fly as well, once the Roe 8 goes so will the money, the Commonwealth only supplies money for National Grid Roads , besides even if they keep it - as has already been pointed out at length and what is clearly stated IN THE ALP POLICY document that money has been earmarked for other roads and the outter harbour feasibility planning , what part of that don't you get?? Have you advised the state alp their document is wrong?

As for WA federal seats holding MT to ransom, they mean SFA, Federal elections are done and dusted before out booths even close, they are decided in NSW and Qld, our tiny batch of seats will be overwhelmed by the swing either way in 3 yrs.
