Whilst I would have liked Swans to be in the finals mainly due to the crowd factor I think its fair to say the more deserving sides made it.

Swans played some good footy but we're inconsistent. Also in games decided by a goal or less they were 4 wins and 1 loss with the maggots being in the leading possessions for Swans and/or playing a hand in some of thoses results. 10 wins was probably a little flattering. Could have been only on 7 or 8 wins with average luck.

Tigers won 10 of their last 15 after a poor start mainly due to injuries.

Bring on the finals and get ready to be thunder struck

Rookie Draft I presume you meant to type were inconsistent rather than we're inconsistent?

The "right top 5" would not include the ridiculous joke Peel Thunder , a debt riddled embarrassment that only survives due to WAFC embezzlement & fraud

Get ready to be farked off in straight sets

WAFL TOP 5.... Excluding AFL Aligned clubs.

SUBIACO
WEST PERTH
CLARMONT
SWAN DISTRICTS
SOUTH FREMANTLE.

Now wouldnt having those 5 clubs playing off be great for the WAFL and help the clubs financially.. ALL WAFL with no Pretenders

Rookie draft, based on your statement above , I would assume you are a Peel supporter in which case you would be fervently hoping that Fremantle don't wrap up top position on the AFL ladder tomorrow.

If this happens Ross Lyon may end up sending a second string team to Adelaide for the final qualifying game. Many of the players who would get a game in Adelaide are the same ones that have got Peel into the position on the table that they are in. So if this happens the Peel coach will have to plug the gaps with players from their reserves team ( where are they on the ladder?)
Could get quite ugly at Arena Joondalup next week if this scenario plays out but this is the risk a WAFL club takes when they are totally beholden to their AFL masters.

Have a look at the joke which is the Peel Football Club. Their first legitimate team, that is their Reserves' team, has barely won a game for the season. What a joke and a farce if Fremantle rest 10 or so players next week.

Spot on Mikeh.. good comment as usual.
Interesting listening to Micale and the 91.3 radio team on the way home.
Tony said it could come down to Freo resting a lot of players which would decimate the Peel side.. Even to the extent of having to use Reserves. As we know their reserves are part time players at best.

This once again brings our WAFL into disrepute and will turn the finals into a JOKE.

While I have little sympathy with Peel and EP I do feel for the loyalist supporters who have stuck with them if would happen.. Ok the WAFL clubs would be laughing. Dont know how it would be with EP as they didnt talk about that but spoke of the above scenerio at length.

Is this what we want? I doubt it after our injuries today it would be welcome to WP :)

Crowd today at Joondalup today was 1850 which isnt bad.. I suggest when I travel up to watch WP V PEEL the crowd will be lucky to hit 1000 :(

The alignment and the WP sponsorship fiasco are to factor that are demeaning to the WAFL as a 2nd tier comp.
Let us not forget when the alignment model was tried originally it was dumped as not workable and did not create a level playing field whatever way you want to look at.

I would like to see a review by an independent authority of the whole mess but we all know this would and will not happen.

Cardy I sincerely hope that Freo do rest 10-15 players and that the legitimate Peel players play in the finals. The right top 5 - what a complete and utter joke.

totally agree 42......shouldn't be a top 5 anyway..only rewards mediocrity....top 4 is a true indicator of who deserves the right to play finals.... thus not too sure what folk are really whinging about TBH....20 odd game season plenty of opportunities to earn the right to play finals for ALL sides, irrespective of alignment or non alignment....

congrats to Cl on fighting back from a 0-5 start.....gutting for SD but I guess no one to blame but themselves I guess, that loss to WP are being a few goals up with minutes to play ultimately came back to haunt them.....tough learning curve, but one no doubt Harding and the SD players are good enough and big enough to take on the chin and learn from ....hopefully the SD fans will be down Basso to party long into the night, like last weekend, the efforts of their players this season......
