going to go close to 20 gold medals - that's pretty damned good going when you consider everything

Yep BH, the Kiwis certainly do like to mention that mate....funnily enough half their gold medal haul is down to one athlete - Lisa Carrington....who has 3 golds.....the good thing about Australia's haul has been the diverse spread across a variety of sports.....the winner of the PHOP tally surely must be Bermuda mate....population of 60 odd thousand....and one gold to their name....can't see anyone topping that.

Ok, watching mate and enjoying it but I don't know much about hockey.....why do they water an artificial surface for play?

It makes the ball smoother over the pitch and reduces the "carpet burns" for the players.

I would like to see the Kookaburras go for the penalty corners when their chances of a good shot or pass in the D is not there.  

I expect the Belgians to do that.

By the way the stick has to fit in a 2 inch (51mm) diameter circle.

LaH Belgium are playing very well.  it is no fluke that they qualified for the gold medal match.

With the removal of the offside rule it has opened up the scoring opportunities.
