What was almost without parallel was that we received 3 free kicks inside out 50 metre arc. However, there were stll some remarkable and bewildering decisions made by Worobec's colleagues.

2017 is turning into a remarkable season for Swans given where we were 12 months ago. Things can be turned around quickly which would give some heart to Sharks and Demons supporters. About 6 weeks ago we were completely smashed by the Tigers at Claremont Oval, which was our 4th loss in 5 games. Many supporters feared that the season could be unravelling after this game, but the turning point came the next week when Swans outplayed East Perth and we have now won 4 of the last 5 to be on the verge of finals action.
The other good thing is that around 75% of the team that took the ground yesterday are home grown Swans players and I had the feeling that when push came to shove in the last quarter yesterday the win meant a bit more to our boys than our opposition.

On the verge of finals footy mikeh?...u guys are home n hosed for 4th spot atleast.....think recruiting the likes of Ellis,Ellard,Crowley,Gault and Bennell plus Clancee gave you guys the experience you needed....see you didnt need Blakely in the end....reckon u guys could go deep...because anything can happen in a final....b a shame if EP get in....not sure who Peel will roll out in the finals,but will b definitely stronger than the 8 man Freo side that turned up yesterday.

History says you need 11 wins for finals, so not counting chickens until we have got to that Mark. Also under no illusions about how far Swans are behind Subi and South which was demonstrated down at Fremantle a few weeks ago.

Good quote from Crowley this morning where he said that the midfield players had not been at their best in the first half but they sparked up at half time and the impact of this was obvious in the 3rd quarter. He also was very effusive in his praise for Harding and suggested that the players were motivated to try and send him out on a high note by going deep into the finals series.

I was told the Dockers requested for Swans to provide a security detail for Harley. Some concern he was threatened with violence after the game. Can anyone confirm this, surely this can't be true in 2017.

There was a Presidents Lunch pre-game attended by a fair few Dockers Members.

If Fremantle wanted security for Bennell them either the Dockers or Peel pay for it. The AFL teams in this town ate getting way too precious over their players.

LB I was told at about 8.30 am on Saturday that Freo had requested some sort of special parking arrangement for Bennell. Given the number of Freo players, officials, cameramen et al it seems singularly peculiar such a request.
