Time to move on to Round 2! Some of the shit you blokes debate is embarrassing and painful! The odd jibe is fine but it's just consistently repeated bullshit that I've no doubt turns people away from this site/forum.

So.....
We all know what happened last weekend and while there were some excuses there were other warning signs that if not addressed quickly our season will be over before we know it. Often it's said that no need for panic stations after round 1 but we have now have no recognised ruckman to feed an already weak midfield.

All I'm after on the weekend is a fierce attack on the ball and the man and if after that we aren't good enough then so be it! I'm sure the players have been warned how important a solid performance for the 1st home game is.

Ins should be Hodge for Blakely. That will be a huge effort for the bloke after being incarcerated last year. Howard should be right to go after getting through ressies last week and id like to see Dean or Whitsed in along with Burnham.

Howie & Rudy are the 2 who should definitely come in to the side.

Well said MD,

One thing I can tell you about Souths is that they are the best "front runners" in the comp. Before you SF people go nuts, I mean front runners true to the word, if you give them a start like we did last week they will carve you up. On the flip side with Souths over 5+ years is if you get them early, they go to shit!

On what we have dished up in the past few years ...Absolutley agree.

Although I do recall the Garlic Munchers kicking the first two goals last week

Absolutely spot on MD, if you look at the thread from the previous weeks game it is just full of personalised rubbish by people who all want to have the last word and just recycle the same old tired stuff. It is extremely boring and no longer funny.
Lets focus on the footy. As you said I would hope that Swans will be hurt by that insipid effort last week and come out with a much better attitude. I hope that Rudy gets a game if he is match fit because there is a real X factor about him. Look forward to seeing Hodge if he plays. Cary and Nuich may have to pinch hit in the ruck as well

Changes to the team as expected with Burnham, Whitsted and Riddoch in the 25. Very disappointing that Simmo is out. Would been great to recognise his 150th at home this Saturday. If its an injury hopefully not too serious. Hodge will need some support from the other talls in the team. Does anyone know his background as I haven't seen him play before? Looks like a wet and stormy day on Saturday so that might negate the big men anyway.

Plenty of shelter at Basso so the weather shouldn't effect the crowd numbers at all, expect similar if not bigger crowd than yesterday. South to win but Swans will be big improvers on last week, hope for a close one.
