When was the last time there were 10K at a H and A at Bogandean?

I think TOS was being a little tongue in cheek Bazza :silly: But having an interest in the history of the WAFL I thought I would take up the challenge and try and answer your question. You said home and away so that leaves out the 11,251 attendance at the 2010 preliminary final. Prior to this the most recent 10000 crowd at Bassendean was 31st May 1986 would you believe. On this day nearly 30 years ago, Perth kicked 21- 18 - 144 to beat Swans 15 - 15 - 105 in front of 10,218 people. Must have been a great day. Unfortunately those sorts of crowds will never be seen at WAFL games again.

It would be nice to get the Foundation Day Monday game every year at home like certain other clubs do to boost their overall numbers.
I was at the EF v SF Derby a couple of Sundays ago and there would have been barely 1000 there for the League game so much for being the premier WAFL H&A game!

Senior and I were at that prelim final in 2010, great atmosphere and enjoyed cheering against the ferals.

You're surprised?
This from supporters that threaten to burn down South Freo club rooms after a loss
Expose themselves to a female in the basso members
Abuse and threaten WAFL officials week in week out
Do embarrassing soccer style chants after goals
Spray painted the entrance to their ground with horrible graffiti

Why dont you just f##k off you cocksmoker and stay on your cheating scumbag of a clubs thread! At least we are a footy club who actually has fans, who dont rely on buying success year in year out! No other club respects $ubi for that, I hope to f##k your flag ambitions fall flat. $ubi are no better than ERT and WART a mob of cheats who havnt won a legit flag since the 80's . And at least our coach doesnt like to put stuff up his nose either!

dogs breath...a couple of your posts yesterday were a disgrace and takes me back to the bad old days on FG when some got away with murder. i would hope the likes of mike and george take exception to this type of crap and do something about the posts and you. hoping that opposition players get hurt and accusing coaches from other clubs putting stuff up their nose is pretty ordinary but I guess is indicative of some of the bogandean faithful on here.

Dont come on here then throwing your crap! Or more to the point Outershitgull! He throws up a lot of shit but cant take it back

I can take it, don't worry about me. Just try to use your brain and be clever about it, don't get personal and slanderous. Those kind of things (if this site wasn't run by SD supporters) would get you banned.

And where exactly have I been slanderous?? Please point that out to me, cheers

I took a few photos that day. Heres one of Ashley Hansen kicking for goals which gives you an idea of the crowd in the outer. That was a fantastic day for WAFL footy

[/quote]Fantastic pic Mike ..Gives me goosebumps remembering what a fantastic day that was for WAFL football 12k at Bassendean where there is no comparison re atmosphere and then the week after we had the best GF since the halcyon days in the 70-80s :)

And not long after this the WAFC go and destroy all that momentum the competition was rebuilding with a bloody compromised alignment based competition! :(

Mmmm naming a WAFL coach and accusing him of putting stuff up his nose ............
Hope you have conclusive unambiguous, unimpeachable proof ... as SWAN 42 might say.

George maybe you should consider removing the Dog's comment to protect the site from being in any legal trouble should it get back to the person the Dog has accused.
