Yep....great to see the kids getting a crack BH. Haven't seen much of Alby but yesterday saw a couple of sublime handballs when in extreme traffic....almost dare I say it Greg Williams like.

Dead right DW I made mention of that whilst you were away, what Alby lacks in foot speed he more than makes up for with clean quick hands in heavy traffic. Out of the 14 first gamers we have had so far this season most of them have come from our Colts winning premiership team from last year and I have no doubt there will be more to come in the near future.

Interesting stats listed for Levi Ridley in our colts' team yesterday on the WAFL site.

Did he actually play yesterday as I dont remember seeing him?

I'm pretty sure he didn't play unless injured early.
Just on the colts, one bloke who impresses me greatly is John Grimson. 16yo,doesn't get a lot of it but rarely gets beaten and is a great contested mark for a defender.

Interestingly on the WAFL site he was listed in the team with 0 recorded against all the stats. Also, we appeared to only have 4 players on the interchange at the start of I think the 4th quarter.

I had the luxury of being able to see all 3 games yday. Crowd was very small, lucky to be 1000 there for the League game I reckon. People rave on about Lathlain being one of the better ovals in the WAFL,I guess it shows how bad some really are!

Colts- A good win with plenty of players to filter back in. Dominated the last qtr into a slight breeze and the stat of 52 inside 50's to 22 shows we should've won by a lot more. Gillard continues to rack up the numbers,Chad Daniels also and as I've said earlier,John Grimson is a very talented player at 16yo.

Reserves- A shaky start for for the 2's with some awful decision making and it looking like a few were kick chasing instead of using the correct option. Structured up a bit better after qtr time and we dominated the middle of the ground which gave the fwds some good one on ones. Riddoch was again a damaging player and when he gets a sniff he rarely misses. However i believe he's in the 2's because of what he does when we don't have the ball which is often very little. Will definitely be in the mix for a call up. Nelson was also a standout,10 shots on goal, missed a few easy ones but he too should be in the mix with 13 goals in the last 2 weeks. He did try to do too much at times. Warrick Wilson was as silky as ever and another player in good form. Another good game from Whitsed!
Of other guys who we've seen thought the League team this year,Fletcher had a solid game but was one of those with some questionable decision making. Nuich was up foward all day and didn't do much,Jason Daniels is a fair way off coming back in my opinion,Slaters skills by foot were horrible.

League- We were on top early however we were extremely wasteful going foward. Geapen was up and about which was good to see. The 2nd qtr Perth got on top and probably should've gone into the main break further in front. Then we stepped it up a gear and were dominant I thought. We played a a tough 3rd ate and then ran all over them in the last.
Davis was our best player and is a shoe in for the Swan Medal! 10 tackles and 12 penetrating inside 50's. Was supported well through the middle by Riggio and Elari. Geapen was good early.
Banfield struggled and he might need a week off or a stint in the 2's with Nelson and Riddoch his replacement. I'm also of the opinion that Coniglio is overrated. His decision making isn't the best and it looks to me like he's being too cute. Too many kicks around the corner! Smirks the other im not sold on.
A couple of things that stand out for me is that we badly lack leg speed and we are very small. I'd like to see Broad moved up to a wing but he has been very good at half back.

So an 8 point game down in Freo next week to get 2 games ahead of South. We will need to play better than we have in the last 2 weeks to get the win!
In closing, heard yday that Simmo and Blight both won't be seen for the rest of the year. Donovan and Kirkup others that weren't playing yday. Not sure who else was missing?

Good report.
Donovan has been playing good footy, has some pace and that is something we lack.
Agree on Coniglio, can not see why he gets game, can't kick more than 10 metres and fumbles for a little bloke.
Davis a star, thank fark he didn't go to Subi, we would be stuffed.
Whitsed goes well but we can't have too many young little blokes in the league as they get pushed off the ball too easily, Dean is worth his place at the moment.
Hopefully Wilson gets back in soon, best field kick in the club

Good report Mad Dog. Very disappointing if Blight and Simmo are out for the rest of 2015. Blight has had a shocking run with injuries, doubt if he has played a full season for Swans. He adds so much grunt to the Swans midfield too and takes some of the pressure off Riggio Elari etc
