Absolutely must win for Swans if they want to play finals. If we lose this it will leave us at 5 - 7 with two tough games against SF and EP before the bye. 6-6 would be a lot rosier and the boys could attack these two games with a positive mindset.

Even though Perth have only one win, they have been threatening to cause an upset for the last 3 or 4 weeks now. My understanding is that they were pretty competitive against Claremont and Souths and we all know how close they came to knocking us over at Basso a few weeks back.

The boys need to play with the same intensity and desire that they demonstrated in bucket loads at East Fremantle on Sunday and they will be OK, but Swans have not won consecutive games so far this year and a win has generally been followed by a fairly insipid effort so we are all hoping that can change this weekend.

I doubt if Harding will make too many changes this week unless there are injuries. If Swoop is fit would they bring him in given that he was a late out on Sunday? Ricky Cary did well in defence when shifted there against EF, maybe he will stay there and Notte could pinch hit up forward? Dylan Nelson and Rudy Riddoch would also have to be considered on their reserves performances last week.

It may be a little damp on Saturday so they may also need to bring in a small for a tall if that is the case.

Any of Wilson,Nelson,Whitsed,Riddoch could get a call up. Slater and Dean in the gun in my opinion.
As stated before I think we are better with Swoop out of the side and with a prediction of wet weather he definitely sits out again for me,unless he comes in for Cary. Even on a dry day I think we'd be too top heavy and we already lack pace.

Good question on Blighty I should have asked him at the game on Sunday as he is missed big time in the middle.
I think we had the right mix of talls & smalls on Sunday.. Riddoch, Nelson, Wilson, Daniels, Kirkup & Turner should all be close to League selection but tough one on who to leave out as Alby was good inside I thought, Slater gives us that line breaking speed, Burnham has improved over the last month especially his kicking & Coniglio made a few errors but you will get that with young blokes.

I agree on Slater it's just that I don't believe he had massive impact last weekend and had a couple of bad turnovers. I also forgot about Coniglio. I was surprised he got a call up. He's another that will be under pressure to hold his spot, not sure he's up to the standard yet.
Donovan hurt a hamd on the weekend also, hopefully it was nothing major.

Just to let you all know Perth's situation. Jarryd Morton is suspended for 2 weeks so there goes 7 goals from last week. Stack and Collard will probably both come in. Mitch Morton is the only danger player you guys might have to keep an eye on.
Our midfield is fairly strong with Tropiano, White and McKenna but we have big holes in defence and up forward.

apart from the blow-out in the 1st game, Swans vs Perth clashes have been close the last few years.
Swans have been inconsistent and will give Perth 5-6 goals in turnovers so Swans will need to be ready from the 1st bounce against Perth as last time it was only a great game from Davis and a top mark and goal from Jukes that won Swans the game as Perth had more scoring shots.
our forward line is our weakness, our little blokes are our only targets

Swans will have to be on the ball (pardon the pun)in this match. The figures indicate Swans play far better at home than away. Last week, Perth only lost because of their poor third quarter. They were truly in the match against Claremont at half time and were competitive in the final quarter. They must be due for a win.
