If we can get up next week and $ubi beat WP then we will be second with good % so there is no excuse and plenty to play for and with a lot of good players out too its a good chance for some guys to grab their spot.. The club is in a very healthy state atm as BH eluded to
Beneath the Southern cross i stand, on Bassendean Oval, can in hand, Swan Districts, you Farkin Beauty!

Thanks mike for the wrap up.

Whilst I enjoyed my footy fix yesterday after catching just one game in the past 7-8 weeks it certainly was a lacklustre affair down at Lathlain yesterday. Poor ball use from both sides for most of the game being the lowlight. Conditions weren't great but i wouldn't rate them as abysmal either. I fail to recall a game where I've seen so many kicks to forwards miss by 5-10 metres, not at the forwards feet but either side of them often trickling out of bounds. The positive aside from good results for all 3 grades was that when Harding asked for some extra energy at 3 qtr time from the lads they appeared to find it. Either that or Perth just turned it up as the last qtr was all one way traffic.

Gotta feel for those Demon supporters. Game wise it was pretty much even up to 3 qtr time yet still in the stands you could feel the murmur amongst the home crowd of 'here we go again' which is exactly what eventuated. I guess sometimes teams forget how to win and when it happens for so many seasons on end supporters can too. Earl seems to be taking the right direction so hopefully with a season or two under him they will improve and the fans in the stands might get to engage their obvious passion for their club. Would be a good thing and a timely boost for the WAFL if the Demons diehards could follow and embrace their footy with some success. In an ultra competitive season with 8 teams still in the mix imagine how much better it would be if the Demons were also in the mix.

Sadly TFAF's about as bright as a single candle in the middle of Lathlain Park on a sunny day.
It's not the size of the dog in the fight. It's the size of the fight in the dog.
Winning isn't everything. It's the ONLY THING !!!!!!

Also I should add congrats to both Alby Dean & Lindsay Murray on making their debuts for the club over the last 2 weeks making it 14 débutantes in total for the season so far.

Yep....great to see the kids getting a crack BH. Haven't seen much of Alby but yesterday saw a couple of sublime handballs when in extreme traffic....almost dare I say it Greg Williams like.

Dead right DW I made mention of that whilst you were away, what Alby lacks in foot speed he more than makes up for with clean quick hands in heavy traffic. Out of the 14 first gamers we have had so far this season most of them have come from our Colts winning premiership team from last year and I have no doubt there will be more to come in the near future.

Interesting stats listed for Levi Ridley in our colts' team yesterday on the WAFL site.
