Now Swans are back on track, they should be back in the winners circle after this round. If this was an away game for them I'd be less inclined. Out of the 5 home games played thus far, they've only lost one narrowly.
Noticed a 1340hrs start time?
Weather is apparently going to be partly cloudy with possible light rain and s/w winds. Looking at a max temperature of 21°.
Good chance for Swans to elevate into the top half of the league ladder given their good percentage.

Perhaps the only thing in our way will be EP getting back to the good old days (last year) and rolling out a dozen or so WCE listed players next Saturday ... Darling, Hutchings, Main, Rosa, Sheed, Lycett, Powell,Lucas, Waterman, Brophy, Adamson, Karpany, Barrass and any others I have left out!!!!

I used to really enjoy EP/SD games. There was a time in the 70s where for us it was a walk up 4 points in the bag playing Swans. Then once the 80s came along we genuinely feared Swans, who were on their day the complete team. Our games either at Perth Oval or Bassendean had massive crowds. It was a fixture that was regularly very well attended. The prelim a few years ago was testament to that too, given todays standards.

I remember one year in the 80s when Swans were gifted a few kicks that ended up winning them the game at Perth Oval, East Perth prez Mal Atwell stormed the umpires rooms after the game and gave them a verbal spray for the ages. As a result he was booked by all the umps and faced something like 15-20 charges.

Perfect time for SD to play EP....SD part time professionals have the advantage of a few days rest over their full time opponents........Johnson especially must be knackered after kicking Keunens arse on Mon.......expect SD to come home over the top here in this game......what do the locals on here think?.......

agree with all you say freez...the thing is that the part timers have to go to work whereas the professional full time feral eagle silver tails have sports scientists, extensive recovery sessions, latest technology to help them get up for saturday...not a level playing field imo.

I think Swans have a way to go before being 'on track'; they lacked teamwork on the weekend and were average as a result. They're presently vulnerable to the teams below them.

We were exposed on the weekend in the same area as we were the last time we played the Eagles reserves,in the midfield. It's our achillies heel and the coaches and players are well aware of the situation. Unless we can halve the midfield and control the spread then I think it will be a tough day,especially with the opposition likely to have some key ins.

Them off a five day break and rehabbing half a dozen Eagles we'll be like a steamroller over hot butter in the 4th quarter, we'll win by eight. (Goals).

Absolute f#*cking joke that Darling will be lining up on Saturday! East Perth and the WAFC continuing to make a mockery of the competition!! Was probably held over last weekend so he didn't have to play against his own club and pretty handy that this game is on 7 too.

thought it would be great for the WAFL to have someone of the calibre of Darling running around.......anyway stick Tallen on him and he won't be a problem....
