Darling would be a bit too big for Twomey...Lockyer would be a better match up from Subi.

It was a fixture that was regularly very well attended. The prelim a few years ago was testament to that too, given todays standards.

I remember one year in the 80s when Swans were gifted a few kicks that ended up winning them the game at Perth Oval, East Perth prez Mal Atwell stormed the umpires rooms after the game and gave them a verbal spray for the ages. As a result he was booked by all the umps and faced something like 15-20 charges.

good times :P

Jars I fondly remember those games in the early/mid 80's vs a proper EP side ...who could ever forget the game were we were a mile behind at Perth Oval and a Leon Baker Phil Narkle inspired Swans flooded home in the last qtr to get the choccies in front of a packed house on an Easter or Anzac Day game in maybe 82 or 83?

Selective memories are great but what about all the games in the 80's and 90's where EP (as it ws then) got flogged by 10 goals or more even wiith 10 victorians playing for us.

We could never match Narkle, Baker, Mirror man or Solin, as for Fitzgerald and the others down back just played kick to kick with Hutton etc.

sad but we (EP) lost our way after the 70's and the 80's just was the slide.

Grump I certainly have fond memories of the mighty black and whites give East Perth 3 - 4 goals start at 3/4 time and watch Swans run over East Perth in the last quarter.

Enjoy the early morning start at Basso on Saturday. What are your views on how the Colts' game will go?

Simpson and Geappen injured, the other two dropped. Simpson is a massive loss as it looks like it could be a while out. Murray Newman returns this week as well as Darling. From Swans point of view guys like Lycett, Wulff and Lee concern me more than Darling and Newman as these two will be a bit rusty and on limited game time. Great to see Tallen back and also Todd Banfield named although he will probably play another ressies game imo

Simmo having surgery tomorrow and out 8-12 bad luck for the champ but I am sure he will be back to get the 150 up, not many tougher than Simmo in the WAFL
Beneath the Southern cross i stand, on Bassendean Oval, can in hand, Swan Districts, you Farkin Beauty!

I reckon if we can beat you it is tomorrow, you have a few boys out in the 18's whilst I think we will only have SPP out. Bayok is injured, concussion so Ajchang will in .

I thought we played very well last week to beat a near full strength wp and if we play that way we can give you a good run.

If you are there couple boys to watch in the B/B are Stanley Wright, Jake Balestra and Connor De Campo, all young and developing. Others are Dobson and Di Placido.

Good luck to your boys and hopefully a good hard fought close game.

I really want to see a SD win as do many other WAFL supporters but it looks like your against it with outs. Having said that though it is surprising how cames can pan out when a few are bought in and give a chance. Not sure about your depth and your Ressies 5th on the ladder. Seems like you have been winning the LAST qtr so stay close and then pounce on the pricks. ALL THE BEST TO THE SWANNIES :cheer:

Looking at this new concept from WAFL FOOTYFACTS Foto stats it is not looking good on the top line.

These Info graphics are available on the WAFLFOOTYFACTS page now and a great way of having a look at your teams record. GOTO the website and they are right centre under GAME PREVIEWS

Please can someone at Swans take Adam Faulkner aside during training and teach him how to kick a football.
He knows how to get the ball but his kicking is hurting the team. Too many kicks going to the opposite players or on the ground to his leading team mate.

Can be a gun player, if only he can hit his targets!
