42, barneys post is pretty well self explanatory mate....to the point that Mr Mysterious thinks it borders on being libelous and should be removed

.....as for Barney naming a source?... yeah that would be handy, but then some folk are still waiting for barney to name a source for his SD salary cap numbers......

but then again some folk are still waiting for you to get some actual numbers from your source Hodyl re: SD salary cap.....as to date you have named a source but given us no actual figures to back up your belief in what Hodyl said to you?.....

EP have traditionally played a game in the SW, usually Manjimup, one of our home games so I am not sure what the fuss is a bout. The issue maybe that you were not told but there are many things that go on in clubs that the members are left in the dark.

The game at Bunbury is a great idea as it is a showcase for your zone and close enough to our zone to attract a good spread of supporters.

As for the money I would be surprised if you make a loss, break even yes but loss no!

Will be easier to get to when you think of the game in Dampier!

They way we have played at home the last 2 games vs S & C playing WART in Bunbury might not be a bad thing!
This game has been on the radar at Bunbury for a while (March) as was this weeks Colts game down to take place in Broome but has now been shifted to Wednesday Night at the Showgrounds ..that must just sneak into the WAFL's "supposed new 5 day rule"!!

Frezin to digress from the subject for a moment I have stated that Swans expenditure for the season of 2014 was under the $270,000 annual salary cap and will remain under the salary cap at the end of the 2014 season. I am at a loss what further clarification you need or further explanation which can expand on or improve the meaning of the above.

Now to get back to the topic on what basis does Barney have to make the totally unsubstantiated assertion that Swans chose the wrong game. Purely from a logical point of view, it is hard to believe that Swans weren't aware of the host club situation when they made the decision to play the Eagles' reserves team in Bunbury.

As for the alleged comments asserted to be made by a former president of Swans I would imagine that he isw still a member of Swans and will be interested to hear him ask a question at our next AGM as to the financial result of the game in Bunbury. I would further expect that person to give prior notice of that question to our CEO and Treasurer to ensure that a comprehensive answer to the question can be given to all our of members in attendance at the AGM.

Swan not sure how anyone could suggest that it is the wrong game.

It is the right game for a host of reasons.

The games between EP and SD have alawys been passionate affairs and especially now with it being SD vs ERT in EP colours, they have always been hard in your face games, been relatively good standard and have often had the spice of a few thumps.

I would have always chosen an EP SD game as one to have as a special fixture.

I think that the oracle 'Barney' may be wrong in his assertion

quite frankly i think it'll be a cracking game and should be played at bogandean in front of 5,000 vocal supporters from both teams rather than at a neutral venue where the majority don't give a chit.

Well actually mate , there are hordes of both Swans & WCE long-time supporters in that part of Bunbury in particular - it will still attract a good crowd given there hasn't been a WAFL game there for a while

Hopefully some of the Basso regulars will take the trek down the new freeway - it's a piece of piss to get there nowadays
