big turnaround at the WACA Ground
Tasmania were 0-70 and have collapsed for 179 all out

Just need a good day of batting tomorrow and they can just about lock in that shield final at the WACA

our batting was almost a carbon copy of Tasmania's try
but Charl Stobo has pulled out a cracking effort to hang around for Marsh and a small lead is now substantial - he's adding a bloody handy all-rounder now

Heres an idea. With the final test in India starting on the 9th and finishing on the 13th ( or probably before based on the previous tests) and the last round of the Shield starting on the 14th, why not send home Morris and Swepson early to play for their respective states in the lead up to the final. Neither has any chance of playing in the 4th test, barring a run of injuries and they would both benefit from a run prior to the final. The ODI side will be there in the latter part of the test so some of them could deputise as substitute fielders/drink waiters.

Will be a great battle between the Vics and Queensland for the 2nd spot in the final. On paper Queensland would seem to have the advantage given they are playing Tassie in Hobart and Victoria are taking on WA but the Warriors may rest a few of their key players in this game to make sure they are fresh for the 5 day final which will start less than a week after the last round so this might give Victoria a chance of causing an upset.

Mike the biggest ineptitude of this test set-up is the treatment of Lance Morris - here is an unbelievable talent who was in great form 
virtually unsighted since and given the injury selection debacle McDonald has forced us to watch it's just farcial 
A whole season of possible development totally and utterly ignored 

Not that I am a huge fan of Marcus Harris but he was treated shoddily by the selectors as well, carted around as the spare batsmen in the Australian summer then dropped for the Indian tour in favour of Renshaw and Handscomb who had made shed loads of Shield runs. Who knows if Harris could have done the same if he had been released to play cricket rather than running drinks which any local cricketer could do.

Mike the way Morris, Agar, Harris etc have been (mis)managed by this current Australian Cricket Team mob lead by Cummins, McDonald, Bailey & Dodemaide is nothing short of disgraceful.
If CA actually had a decent CEO instead of the current Pommy fool in place they would all be held to account with at the very least a please explain!!!

after a bad start the excellent recovery is stalling a bit - 400 was on the cards for a while there

managed to get 387 and might have left 50 or 60 out there too
