I thought the question being asked DD was why would Perth want him?...3 wooden spoons in a 4 year playing career..certainly got the Midas touch..when he played at EF he won a colts flag and was a fringe player at a club which played in 2 GF....of course he would be a great signing...he is a Sandover Medallist...apparently the be all and and end all for "success" in the eyes of a flag and finals deprived Perth fan....LOL

Leggett would be handy I reckon....perhaps a multi player swap...the likes of Cuneo, Burton and Holmes for Cody....and Masten for Tropiano...win win for all....EF get two decent players and Perth fill the boots with a vanilla slice and a couple of Scleicher, Dennis and Papertalk replicas....

You have to ask yourself those same questions Freezin. Why would you be targeting players from a club with an appalling success rate? How are you going to improve trading those players in from a club with a poor culture when it comes to WINNING? Surely you want WINNERS?

Trops is a winner DD....pretty sure I saw a pic somewhere recently of Tropiano post his Sandover Medal win in 2015.....every player is a required player when they come from success starved clubs like EF and Perth....thus happy to give Perth those 3 EF players I mentioned for one Perth player....and an ex AFL premiership player for the other player.....

Why wouldn't we?

If a player wants to leave a club, then he should be allowed to. That's what transfer fees are for. Happens all the time in all forms of sport.

Except when that player wants to go to Subi then there's a lynch mob.

You would have to go back to the days of Gary Gibellini to find a East Fremantle player who crossed to Perth and had premiership success.
Had a few come over and learn what it's like to taste success and not endure butt hurt for their whole careers - Spalding x 2, Steve Lally and Ian Newman spring to mind...and of course a couple of others who crossed over and played in finals and grand finals in Allard and Moir.

Not from us. We missed out on Marsh and Menegola in recent years. Certainly paid dividends for Sam. And Harry got a flag.
