Big statements there DD. If I was looking for a club to follow and it was down to 2 choices, There’d be a couple of things I have to consider. Following a team that has 7 premierships, the last one being 40 years ago without another in sight, has a nice oval and club rooms and living next door to the premier AFL team in WA. Pretty impressive? Or following a club that has the 2nd most flags (29) in Australia, albeit the last being 20 years ago, has a crap oval and facilities (That are planned for upgrade) and are seemingly on the up. For me, wonderful club rooms don’t necessarily win flags unless you have Subi’s bank account. You really got to look inside your club before you shitcan another.

I would suggest that Tropo's clearance is through as he is also on the WAFL list as a Perth player.

Strono, you're not seriously suggesting we would give up Leggett for a couple of fringe players? He is in our best half dozen players, and only 24 next year. You would need to give us something a lot better than that. As If you get Leggett from us, but have to give us one of your top 10 players, how does that help either club? I'm not saying that P and EF have to be on some kind of under performing solidarity ticket, but there seems no net benefit to us or you.

I think EF might have snared Phil Smart from SD. He is known to be obsessed with stealing Perth players or put a lot of effort to lure them only to be unsuccessful Steven Armstrong,. Leon Davis, Aaron Elari, Matt Rogers and Joel Houghton. All either highly rated young Perth players at the time or ex AFL.

Or maybe Cody has started a demolition business and has been seen doing a quote at Moss St?

Is Minerals Resources all that? it does'nt even have a proper scoreboard - i guess they had to save money for the brand new facilities within the next couple of years.

Since Perth's last dabble at playing in a GF? just off the top of my head - East Fremantle have played in 10 GF's and won 5 of them.

There’s been no confirmation (strono??) that Leggett wants to make the move- just that he’s been spoken to. It may amount to nothing and having heard his standing amongst the group and supporters it would seem unlikely.
Both clubs seem to be on the up, with Perth, on face value, slightly advanced. Though it was 1-1 this year and both clashes were pretty tight.

I’m not sure a player swap is needed- it’s just a transfer fee. Money to be spent elsewhere at least. I’m trying to get confirmation it’s Leggett we’re chasing, though strono has been on the money so far.
As for Tropiano, it appears he’s destined for Perth- though Masten is on our list and as far as I’m aware hasn’t made a call on 2020 yet

best oval in the country - maybe so but nothing wrong with our oval now we have our own contractors looking after it & it is in great condition
brand new facilities on the horizon - bravo....we actually have approval for new facilities as well albeit yours will be completed before ours
our club has never been aligned with another club either nor have we have asked for a handout from the wafc ever - fact
as for cody being happy - goin ask him then
