Have no doubt now fark all info will come out of the club in regards to what happens next, prospective new applicants and time lines......all going to get super insular and secretive now.....

Townsend said on 91.3 yesterday that the news leaked from Woewodin, who was told he missed and who got it and he told some of the players.

What will be interesting is the reason for Valentine pulling out. It was a part-time position so I can't see how the school offer effects anything. Could it be another Haselby situation???

He is not the head coach at Guildford. He is the head of football. If he was offered the head coaches job he’d be employing himself and making an offer to himself. He hires all coaching staff.

Dodged a massive bullet!

That's two clubs now this has happened to. Surely the lesson for all WAFL clubs going forward is don't advice unsuccessful applicants until the new coach has SIGNED ON THE DOTTED LINE.

Obviously Guildford Grammar didn't want to lose their head of footy then.......considering Guildfords top team only won one game this year, I concur with Danger that Valentine dodged a bullet not being head coach at Guildford Grammar then......LOL..

Surely though Valentine would have checked out the conditions and parameters of the job before accepting it on the Monday afternoon. Only he and his closet confidantes would know what changed so dramatically between then and Tuesday morning.

Considering the guy went through a lengthy interview process to be offered the job, initially accept it and then decline it last minute, clearly indicates the scenario where a current employer gazumped the prospective employer financially....part and parcel of life......got no probs someone taking the better offer...we all would....just come out and be honest about it FFS.....and all this superficial apology and best wishes shite...... please who are we kidding?.......

Haselby got the Claremont job and SF swooped in. Perhaps WP have done the same here
