Please. Nobody is that stupid that they never check their birth bona-fids.

They knew and tried to pull the wool over the Australian public.

To say that neither got a passport to go overseas, had conservations with their family members, followed up on the dates of Canadian citizanship nor got their highly paid staff members to check is pure bunkum.

What is worse is that the greens are trying to push the young uni kid off the ticket to parachute someone else in.

I just hope the voters will get some common sense and see what festering cancerous moles the type of people who infect this party are and dump the greens accordingly.

You have to remember if you tick the wrong box or a typo error on your tax return. They do not give you a chance to fix the problem. They audit you. There incredibly rude to deal with and it costs you thousands of dollars. So it's nobodys fault bar the Greens party machine.

Devonleigh my understanding is that the situation with respect to Larissa Waters is that Canada changed their citizenship laws to an opt-in before you turn 21 a week after she was born. If one did a cursory search one would find that there was an opt-in law for those born in Canada of non-Canadian parents and since she had not exercised the opt-in option before she turned 21 it is a reasonable assumption to make that she was not a Canadian citizen.

Further with respect to pushing anyone of any ticket is complete and an utter non sequitur even if it is true. If a person is ineligible to be elected there is a recount by the AEC and the winner of that recount is elected to the Senate. It is only when it comes to a casual vacancy can the party nominate the replacement.

Bazza what an absolutely disgraceful comment. Are you the type of person who complains when a mother breastfeeds in public?

What's disgraceful about the comment it was entirely neutral...jumping the gun a bit aren't you sonny Jim.

Swan42: thanks for that information. She has indeed, been hard done by because, as you said, she has made no effort to take out Canuck citizenship. The fact that she is entitled to Canadian citizenship is irrelevent, or at least should be. In fact, as a Canadain, if she got here before 1986, I think she would have the right to sit in parliament. The High Court would definitely consider her case.

That's going by the facts given in her PC., whether they are in deed in the situation I have not heard confirmed indepedantly.

But even it they are , she was required to Sign A Stat Dec on nomination that she had no Dual Citizenship, I would of thought being born in a Foreign Nation would of been a bit of a red flag to one to ensure you had your legal situation correct prior to signing, Not just a reliance on a rumour from your Mum - remember she is supposed to be a Lawyer by trade, even if it is a matter if just one week , it very sloppy work indeed on her behalf and a good indication of just how seriously they ( the Greens) take the Legislative process and the Constitutional Arrangements of the Nation. She should pay back every cent, apparently Ludrum owes the tax payer 1.8 Million alone.

Neither of these Cretins were ever Senators as both were ineligible from day one. No better than Cullerton.

People born overseas do not necessarily take out the citizenship of that country -- that should be the issue. How can she be a Canadian when she has never applied for it? I was born in this country, but I do have a British passport so I would have to write a letter to the UK High Commission if I ever want to sit in parliament. Note, I I actually took the trouble to get the second passport, that Greens woman has done nothing of the sort.

One of the reasons I jumped off Labor, getting in bed with these bong smoking twats, they are a big embarrassment in the political scene.

True but I would of thought being born in a another country is a bit of a head start to put it lightly for your personal research if you were to start making legal declarations about your citizenship.

If you were born in the UK, you would still have to renounce citizenship passport or not.
