I know I have warned some here about how they have slandered some people.
If push comes to shove then the owners of this site will be forced to give names and addresses etc.
Maybe a laughing matter to some, but it is a real situation and threat to all here.
Yep have a go at people here , but be very wary of how you talk about some others.
As I keep saying when some one transgresses. I hope you got deep pockets. plenty of money and a bloody good lawyer.
From memory, didn't it get dirty and nasty over on FG between a couple of rabid Perth supporters? I may be wrong but I thought it got to the situation where legal action may have been taken.
Just saying, be very careful.

Exactly anchorman. Some posters don't understand the meaning of defamation and believe freedom of speach gives them the right to say what they like about others, for example coaches. If your comments defame someone enough that it reduces their ability to earn a living or severeley damage their reputation, then as you said, they better have a good lawyer and deep pockets. And trolling, as MikeUX1 said is an offence, not just leading to being banned from this site, but also denting their pockets.
A ist year computer science student could locate anyone on this site, fake names, fake email addresses mean nothing, they trace through the internet supplier.

Are you seriously saying that me calling Mcmahon a dud coach or a crap coach is defaming him I don't think so, why do you think Perth sacked him?.

I listen to sports talk on the radio a fair bit plenty of talk back listeners have their say about coaches without being cut off by the radio jocks, surely their defamation laws wouldn't allow it, no this is a case of he's coaching at Claremont and YOU don't like some one having an opinion that you don't like being said about him because he's at your beloved Tigers.

If Mike thinks what I have said is defamation he can delete it.

Nothing to do with him at Claremont. Read Perth threads and you will see he is constantly spoken about, mostly "subjectively" and rarely "objectively". If you don't understand what defamation is, then all the best to you. That said please desist from directing your comments to me, "trolling", constantly targeting an individual poster is an offence. Have great day.

No Pete - You alway hit below the belt. Listen to your heart
Victorians still laugh at West Aussies because of the way we bailed out the vfl and then allowed it to be called it the AFL!

Spot on Anchor. At the end of the day I am the sponsor of the website in the eyes of the law.

Part of the new process will be that everyone will need to provide a correct name, and email address. This will need to be done by emailing a nominated email address which will be determined shortly.

Those who fail to comply, or will not accept the terms will simply be deleted from the website, and no further correspondence will be entered into.

All future accounts after this time will need manual approval and verification.

More to come...

Mike.

Mike I think you are giving this bloke too much oxygen and going way over the top. There is a difference between giving an "opinion" and stating something you believe to be fact that is untrue and even in that case a person might truly believe it to be true at the time. If someone is posting personal information whether it is true or untrue then that can be seen as defaming or suggesting someone is or has been involved in a criminal activity, homosexual, paedophile etc could be seen as defaming.

In this case people are merely giving an opinion a bloke was a dud coach (couldn't coach) and that is their opinion based on their experience over a fair period of time witnessed by that individual through their eyes and ears.

If we are going to make knee jerk reactions to blokes like Jimmy here and sanitise the site to satisfy him and the like you might as well shut it down now. Just my opinion.

Jimmy now you are being silly. Footygoss shut down because of too much spam, WAFL online because the WAFC don't give a rats about the WAFL
