That support for Palmer is staggering but given the major parties are so incredibly unimpressive, perhaps it makes sense. The ABC tore apart his rediculous proposal to freeze interest rates and showed t would pretty much destroy the economy drastically affect foreign investment and reduce bank lending for housing given it would not be profitable to do so. I wish more was done to show up the fat cane toad and his numpty leader NoVax Kelly ludacris policies for what they are.

I'll vote for my local coalition member for one reason only, they saved my arse and allowed me to keep my business going via the Job Keeper policy. I know it wasn't perfect, just like labours School halls and Insulation programme back in the naughties but it saved a lot of peoples bacon, so they will get my vote.

This is shaping up as one of the most interesting elections .The polls and voting trends are very erratic.
Scomo is a lot better on the campaign trail.Albo is bumbling his way along.Scomo did appear to have a moment of madness, last night

gt…who do you think won the debate?  The bit I watched was nil all.  I read one newsfeed this morning that said scomo won, then another feed said elbows won.

So Covid knocked you around Baz? Unlucky sounds like you got a bad dose of it like the Emperor’s kid. You might be suffering long Covid. I’ve been lucky so far I guess, tested myself a couple of times but came back negative.

Put my early vote in last night, was surprised to see it still open so I pounced and got it out the way. Went with UAP and made Labor first preference. Just couldn’t bring myself to vote Labor straight out but I put Lib/Nat second last to the Greens.

Went with UAP as he is purely independent and has some clout and prepared to use it and love how he exposed our megalomaniac Premier and his lies in the defamation court case being played out in court along with his partner in crime Mr Squiggly. . Well done Clive you won my vote.

That's good DD as it means the $60m Clive spent on advertising wasn't a complete waste of time as he'll get at least one vote in WA. :-). Prominent political analyst Antony Green reckons Clive might snag one senate seat in Q'land but that's about it nationally so not sure where his clout comes from as you say, other than being a vexatious litigant.

Unfortunately the current landscape means we have a duopoly in Australia unless you live in the electorate of one of the Teal independents which if they don't get enough primary votes, is a vote for Labor anyway. It looks like Albonesia will get up but I can't see him lasting too long with the likes of Clare and Chalmers circling already.

I don't think a change of government is necessarily a bad thing as both parties are so closely aligned on policy there's almost no difference but I do hope Labor has learnt from the toxic Rudd/Gillard/Rudd years as we never want to go back there again.

I’d vote for Daffy the Duck before Elbows and Jabba the Hutt before the walking heart attack.  But then, they’re both one and the same!!

I think you'll be very surprised BC if you think I'll be Clive's only voter. The major's are on the nose and the cupboard is pretty bare after that just a bunch of whack job parties and independents. By the way I was surprised to see the Australian Democrats Party is back. I thought they were done and dusted long ago. Remember their motto was Keep the Bastards Honest. Have they been revived and who's running it?

DD, just wondering if you managed to catch the review of some of the Fat cane toads policies, there were a couple from both sides of the media, both agreeing things like his bank interest rate capping would be a complete economic disaster, in both cases the media sort more detailed info on his policies but were ignored, so that might indicate there is no depth or real substance to his policies beyond these nonsensical feel good shallow bleatings. He is spending 3 to 4 times what the majors are spending, thats his right as it's his money but what is he after? He won a seat when he first tried but rarely attended parliament, so what is driving him to spend all this money for what most predict is for little or no return. Is it an ego driven power trip or does he just want to be a spoiler given he's a billionaire and wont be impacted by any of his loony policies.

But, I respect your right to vote for whoever you want.
