Well done West Perth ..I must admit I didnt think you could beat Claremont yesterday but I hope you can now go on & win the flag as Claremont have had more than enough success of late & well no one wants the Sellout Eagles to win it!

It was a surreal feeling at the siren. West Perth don't usually win Second Semi Finals. Looking back our last Second Semi Final win was 18 years ago in 1975 when we beat Subiaco by one point. Prior to that it was 1975 over Swan Districts. All premiership years, let history repeat itself for the Falcons!

Very proud to be a West Perth member after yesterday's second semi final victory.
That old "never give up Falcon Spirit" was evident throughout.

Congratulations to the players and coaching staff.
Best wishes for success in the Big One.

Unbelievable effort by the boys on Sunday. The wins against Subi in 2003 & 1995 were very much against the odds as was South Freo in 1999. Of course the wins against The Royals in 69 & 71 are very much part of my childhood memories. The atmosphere was bloody electric. Just wondering what antics Malcolm Brown would try on us. The tension was incredible. The win against Sth Freo in 1975 with Dyson going to CHF was special as well.

We haven't had a 20,000 plus crowd for the last two year at a Grand final. It has been 11 years since we topped 30,000.

I hope the Royals make it through, so we can stick it up them one last time.It will be the last of the real deal Grand Finals. Wouldn't surprise me if we top 25,000.

Great news. Mellington and Browne have both escaped with reprimands and will be available for the Grand Final. Mellington had been charged with charging and Browne with rough conduct. I imagine they would have accepted the reprimands in record time!
And the other piece of good news from the tribunal is that the WAFL has withdrawn the report of reserves player Jordan Mills, so he will also be available for the reserves prelim this week.
Thank God for all of that.
Now, how many Cardies will be at Claremont on Sunday? I'm planning on making the trip...

I rang the WAFL today and asked if there will be a parade on Friday week. The reply was that they stopped doing them. I wonder when they stopped.

Maybe no one turned up Frank or the players who do work couldnt get off to attend. Do remember them though. Think it ended in Forrest place near the post office. Only went to one as long way to travel and suspect this is another reason why people didnt turn up?
Will be interesting to see if the WAFC/WAFL do any promotion of the game?
