WAFL OVER WROTE

The best bit about this is that Tedesco and Pettigrew are playing. We need them available for a GF or a prelim... especially Pettigrew.

....

Agree handy to have the reserves playing as it gives a few guys the chance to have a run. If the ressies werent playing no Run for a couple that needed it.
Fitted in really well. :) Brilliant actually

Yep. Couldn't have hoped for better. Ideally we would win both the league and ressies and then be able to give both Teddy and Pettigrew a run next week. Perhaps I'm hoping for too much there, though...

Mate looking at the sides I dont think you are hoping for to much. Even if WP league lose and Reserves win we will have another double header at Joondalup next week.

And it could be a WP V EP Derby...

What a great end to the season... WOW

Just happy we are guaranteed two chances at a GF. As for having both sides in the prelim, that would force us to play Teddy and Petters in the league side. That might be a risk. I'd love to be able to give them two runs in the ressies. The last thing you want is a pinged hamstring or another calf injury in a do-or-die league match.

Dont follow if the Ressies win they will have to play the loser of 1 and 2
If WP League lose to CLA they will have to play the winner of 3 and 4 (sd or ep)
Both games would be at Joondalup so why couldnt Teddy and Petters play in the ressies again next week and for that matter anyone else from the league side?

Clearly they could play ressies. I just think Bill's hand would be forced and he would play them. Given prelims are do-or-die, I suspect he would bring both players in and that could work really well ... or not. I'd love to have the luxury of giving them another run without being forced into a choice of whether to play them in the league side.

Yes see your point.. Will be interesting to see who plays where on Sunday.
Coaches call as they say. I am sure if ressies will be watched very closely. If performance good into a GF one way or the other.

Shame is we are going to have some heartbroken players but gotta put the best side on the park.. With a bit of luck Both Ressies and League will be playing for the big one but as you say that is might be asking for to much?

Cant see Johnson comming up as I was not impressed with him last week and would take big turn around not worth the gamble.. Nice to be able to have teams to assess all the players thats a bonus.

Looking forward to it..And very confident looking at our sides :cheer:

All the best too our 2 teams. Do it for the RED AND BLUE guys. Be proud of the colors and the club. We have a tradition as never giving up for over 100 years.

Thanks WP For being a part of my life

“There are plenty of teams in every sport that have great players and
never win titles. Most of the time, those players aren't willing to
sacrifice for the greater good of the team. The funny thing is, in
the end, their unwillingness to sacrifice only makes individual
goals more difficult to achieve. One thing I believe to the fullest
is that if you think and achieve as a team, the individual accolades
will take care of themselves. Talent wins games, but teamwork and
intelligence win championships.”

Highlights from the last time we met CLA this year. Round 12
Now we didnt have Chris Kuenen due to a late withdrawl.
Stockers had to come off at Half time in the Ressies and play the League game game where he lifted against 2 good ruckmen.
We will miss slick and possibly Pettigrew?

Not a bad result for WP all taken into account. We came home strong and great to see the team didnt give up.

Yes interesting but not a surprise with EP.. FOOD FOR THOUGHT :(

In S Lycett, A Selwood, B Wilson, J Cripps, F Clutterbuck, C Grover, Out A Boyes, C Hart

Now with an extended bench there will be a couple more most probably playing Ressies due to the flow down effect.. Not sure on the rules regarding Elegibilty for League players playing reserves. Obviously something in place But with 2 sides in the Finals most probably no eligibly criteria..
Bottom Line our Reserves could be meeting a few different players than they met in home and away season.

Full EPFC League side but remember it is an extended bench so a couple more will move down. Swans are going to have their job cut out in the League.

WEST COAST ROYALS

B B Wilson K Anderson R Maldenis
HB C Morton J Derickx A Selwood
C D Cadwallader A Sweet J Oakley-Nicholls
HF A Bennell P Johnson M Swan

Int. M Fraser, S Payne, F Clutterbuck, M White, J Payne, M Howlett, B Higgins, C Grover
