Not very often a team wins a final by kicking too many minor scores but well done to West Perth. They now have a rest for a week. Claremont will win the Preliminary and we'll have a West Perth / Claremont Grand Final. Kicking 21 behinds today is a worry but WP played good footy going by the radio broadcast. If Claremont are to win the last Wafl premiership, I think they'll be up against it because they will have had 2 games whereas West Perth (having the weeks break)can get over any niggles they may have.

I didn't listen to this game on the radio, as I was watching the 1st semi final on the TV. From the number of scoring shots & inside 50's it looked like West Perth should have won by more. Well done to West Perth for proving the knockers wrong & putting your recent poor finals record behind you. It is no easy feat to beat Claremont, in particular at their home ground.

Great game of Footy and we almost kicked our way out of it.
Umpiring was of the usual standard.. Parry did ok but so he should the other 2 pretty bad.
Good news is our Reserves won as well by beating the Ferals so play off next week.. Most probably at Cla as their league and Colts will be playing there and all the games will be at the one ground.
WP v Perth in the Reserves so will be going to that and then most probably stay for the CLA v EP game.. Cla should win it but with the stacked EP side who knows. SD seemed to keep with EP so CLA shouldnt have a problem???

Nice to get $220 in winnings as had $50 on WP at $4.50

Great effort Cardy. WP should have won by 6 goals. C aren't so invincible after all. When was the last time the top team never made the GF? I can't recall. I think that it will be a Perth Derby GF.
All teams that finished top lost & all teams that 3rd lost in all grades. Don't think thats happened in Wafl history!

The reports were not worth the paper they were written on and Keuns came back on (albeit limping) but he had a big smile on his face after the game, so would not be too bad.

Well done West Perth on their win today. Listened to the second half on ABC radio. Very exciting & nerve racking.....blow that bloody siren!!!! Cardy & Leedy see you at the GF. Go West!!!!
