The word "disappointment" is used in most sentences when talking footy to a Perth supporter.

If this happens to be true it would certainly set our recruiting back a bit imo.


Whilst Colledge and Smith on face value seem like good gets neither has really set the world on fire during there AFL stints which includes there appearances at the "state" second tier level.

Why would Tendai be interested in being rookie listed at age 30 at a club loaded with young talent and a premiership fancy? Running around in the NEAFL on whatever rookie listed players are on?

Pretty sure that wouldn't hold any appeal for him. Obviously good mate Matt Deboer has put in a good word for him but if there is any substance to it I would be surprised if he showed any interest.

Not sure if this means anything but his name is not on the list of players who have nominated for the draft ( AFL website). So would he even be eligible to be recruited by GWS? To be honest he would be playing NEAFL all year, unlike De Boer who would at least have a chance of breaking into the GWS team. Probably the only thing would be more $$$ at GWS.

DD i think any player no matter what there age is would take anything to prolong there AFL careers that imo includes a rookie listing.

Dont know how true this is but if GWS throw him a lifeline i reckon he'd take it.

Not necessarily 30plus I think in fact there is trend where players are walking away from an AFL career realising either its too hard or not a priority in their life.

At age 30 maybe 31 this year I think Tendai would be pretty satisfied he's got everything out of himself and realized an AFL dream. There is little chance of him being a premiership player at GWS if they were to be good enough to get there.

What's a rookie listed player on, 80k? He'll earn that as a minimum wage in his first year as a teacher. And he just got engaged so he's probably planning the next phase of his life after football.

If he has not nominated surely he intends to end his AFL career and concentrate on the next phase of his life as a teacher, a family man and continuing his footy with the Perth Football Club.
We shall find out shortly but this all smells of another PN stir.
