Hodge will definitely be in our engine room.

Not sure (don't think) Bateman has got the fitness nor Beven.

Bateman because of his age, Bev because he is not built to run all day.

Hope I am wrong about last two.

Bateman played on the wing at times in the game against SF and Bevan has been switching between fonward a midfield during the preseason.

I think we can expect these guys to be lining up with Peel: Sheridan, Crichton, Faulks, Crozier, Moller, Hannath, Michie, Pitt, Smith, Forster.

Shaking in my boots if Pitt plays - NOT. Don't know much about them but other than Faulks & Crozier the're either babies or not able to dominate at WAFL level (Pitt). I would be more worried if Zac Clarke was playing.

But I think you are spot on, most of their unknowns will play despite the week off for most AFL players.

Despite that I still think our squad looks better and we should win.

I'm not so sure that EP & Peel will dominate the competition like people think.

Their sides will include a lot of inexperienced kids just out of U18 that will not have proved themselves at State League level. WCE & Freo will insist on them playing league, that's what the whole argument has been about. Yes there will be some good footballers available to them but there will also be a lot of kids.

They won't sacrifice that to ensure a premiership for EP or Peel.

At this stage I am more worried about the EP squad against us.

EFA purposes

Jack Hannath was a young kid that I mentioned about trying to recruit over on WAFL Online. He's a 21 year old ruckman from Centrals in SA and already has a decent size body. 201cm and 95kg or there abouts. Good yound kid who played played some very good football for the Dogs last year.

Yep, Hannath was an established player in the SANFL.

Viv Michie is coming back from injury and is a very good player - had 27 disposals for Peel last week. If he's actually ever injury free will be a fine AFL player.

Jesse Crichton is more than useful at WAFL level and picked up 31 last week.

Hayden Crozier looked pretty dangerous around goals for EP last year.

Jayden Pitt is no world beater but still picked up 23 touches last week.

I know Tanner Smith is very talented but like you say, he is one of the inexperienced players with a question mark. Haven't seen enough of Forster to know. Moller is a project ruckman.

But it's their recruits that look dangerous. Cruize Garlett (100 games), Paul Bower (116), Jarrhan Jacky (54), James Hawksley (32), Marlon Motlop (43), Kelvin Lawrence (20) have all recently come out of the AFL system and should carve up this year if fit and comitted.

Then there are the old regulars - the handful of good players Peel have had for a while - Brendon Jones, Peter Faulks, Matt Orzel, Devin McFarlane, Kristan Thornton, Pat Travers, Brad Holmes (State player in 2012) and Chris Luff. Now they have genuine support.

I wouldn't be writing them off at all.

I'm still hoping Perth can win and they should at home - just - too much at stake for the Demons. A loss is just not an option.
