Might be good at the grounds but the tournament has been boring watching on TV. No real contests yet, just one sided romps like there have been this week. Don't know why they allow minnows such as England to play in these prestigious events

with other results so far England can still get into the finals part
but these results have been so vast the net rates might be what it comes down to
India will be tough to beat over there though

some incredible hitting by deKock , Klassen & now Maxwell
there's not many that have coped with the ball getting old & dirty
it is so different after 20 odd overs

Pakistans narrow loss has made Australias task of qualifying for the semi finals that much easier. A victory over New Zealand today will make it very hard for Sri Lanka, Afghanistan and any other team with a chance. Pakistan would need to win the rest of their games and hope other results go their way.  They were actually unlucky last night as a marginal LBW call went against them when South Africa were 9 wickets down
The Proteas seem to have a weakness when chasing as opposed to batting first so it will be interesting to see if they can improve on that in their remaining games.

Australia made 388 of 49.2 overs, Head made 109 off 67 Warner 81 off 65, Maxwell 41 of 24. Big score for the Kiwis to chase down but they are more than capable, we need to bowl and field really well to get the W.
Pressure is on them to score at more than 7.76/over over the whole 50 overs.

tried a few times & things to lose that game
that wonderful start was almost blown by some pretty tame follow ups to it
and there was some bowling that on other days would have seen a loss
still don't know how Australia has somehow gotten a 2 game buffer after this win
but that buffer will be quite valuable now
might have been an idea to just get Maxwell & Inglis in after that hot start

Amazing game of cricket, both teams bowlers were unable to contain the batters, came down to Strac's final over, nearly blew it with that 5 wides/byes but his other deliveries were pretty good along with some super boundary fielding that saved the day.
770 runs over 99.2 overs, not bad value for money.

A miserable last 12 hours for NZ sport....sadly I am on the GC at present, unable to revel in the Kiwis misfortune. Hindsight is always the best sight for saying who should bat where in the order.....pretty sure Maxi got out 1st ball, after being promoted when Warner and Marsh got Aust off to that hot 250 + opening stand not too long ago....once bitten twice shy I guess.

Who wants to be a bowler these days, especially in the white ball format....no way is Boult a leaky 7 runs an over ship....everything in favour of the batsman these days, not much value in it for the bowler these days SS.

Starc still living off those fumes of that 2015 WC opening over v Baz. The guy is a a proverbial  Split Enz leaky boat at the best of times ...surely one out of the BB big 3 needs a rest....only for another BB bowler to step up......if only the next line of Aust fast bowlers could stay fit......Richardson, Ellis, Morris, Johnson etc.....

NZ chased hard.....and nearly won.....Aust might not get as lucky next time.....Eng up next.....hopefully India put out their WC hopes once and for all.

another England game
and that brought another heavy loss
this time to India
but they did make India work for nearly every run on a wicket that isn't one of the good ones
looks like that's what will be dished up in the finals I'd be saying
England can't make it now unless something ridiculous happens
