CA has a stinking carcass on it's hands
it for some reason only known to itself appointed this student of the game as "coach"
the total lack of futuring is what happens when the wrong people get in the door
prepare for some dark times

Well there ya go.Wonderful Ashes series.Sad that it's all over.5 great Test Matches.
I know the Carey stumping was controversial. And also at a critical moment in the,Lords test.
But England breaking a 146 year tradition, really sucks.Refusing to have team drinks after the Oval test.As done in every other Ashes series.
Ball tampering is the norm for the Poms.Changing balls when the Duke won't swing.

At least we were spared another nauseous lecture on "spirit of cricket" from Stokes after he tried to claim a catch that he and the rest of his teammates all knew was dropped.
Absolute hypocrisy.

Interesting they would not have a beer afterwards. Apparently, they were there until 10.30 and claimed their internal celebrations with Broad and Ali retirement they didnt have time to open the doors and have a drink with the opposition

What a disgrace that old ball was changed for near new ball. The umpires response to Usman Khuwaja's complaint was absolutely laughable, it was the only one in the box. 😂

England cheated their way to victory. Cherry on top the sour Poms wouldn't have drinks with the Australian team afterwards. Lol

I thought the Aussie team showed great sportsmanship immediately after the game finished lining up to congratulate the England team as they walked up the stairs.
Get on your bike.

bowlers used to love pills that got a bit out of shape or ragged
spinners especially
I've got no problem with changing the pill - if it is blatantly damaged or defective
however it should be limited to 2 spare balls per innings
that'll put paid to crap

Let's get a new Coach+"Captain. And start rebuilding our squad ,this summer.
So where ready for the Poms ,down under.Sending them home 5-0 in the Ashes.
Give them something to really sook about.

Apparently the teams did get together for drinks at a nightclub later so thats alright then

I think the narrative from Cricket Australia will be that the coach and captain met their KPIs for the tour which was winning  the World Test Championship trophy and the ashes retained, so I think any talk of a new captain or coach, however justified, will fall on deaf ears and the team will continue to decline until one day someone gives them an absolute flogging and an enquiry will be called. Remember when they got bowled out for 60 by South Africa in Hobart and there was the Spanish Inquisition after that.

There appears to be little forward planning at CA. They just react to crises such as sand paper gate but they do not appear to look at the big picture. They have known for a while that this is an aging team and there appears to be no succession plan as to who will replace these soon to be retired players

So recent Aust A tours to NZ and Sri Lanka and CA XI  matches, don't count as forward or futuristic planning? The recent NZ A tour had Kellaway and Wyllie playing....two teenage batsmen. In an ideal world, without their injury woes, Pucovski and Richardson would be playing test cricket.

Besides Green, Hardie and Pucovski....name me one batsman in Aust 1st class system, under 30 years of age, averaging more than 40?

I'd be more then happy if the double treble WA 11 were picked to represent Aust...but are all of them test quality?

right now as it stands mate , and as hard as it is , it is a good thing to sit back and let this slide continue to the bottom
and it'll bottom out in the next year hopefully sooner
CA had prime steak coaching applicants
but chose the cheap microwave hamburger
CA has had quite a few chances to get young talent up to speed
nothing but a big black hole to show
