going by the noise that means Green is out for Murphy and that is it for changes
back at the WTC venue and Surrey have been making runs there so I'd expect a good batter that will turn a bit later
it is also pretty true bounce
now that the series pressure is gone - who will fold first ?

I'm thinking the pomms will be a bit deflated now that a series win is off the table due to their own crappy weather and the fact they arrogantly believed they were certainties to win the last 2 tests. Perhaps that might swing things in our favour. Maybe Carbon Cummins might win a toss, it would be a first for this series and has been a significant plus for the Pomms so far, being able to dictate terms to a certain extent.

Always had England as favourites especially at home and the side, tthey have got.Cummings has had a harder job then the 1989 lot had in England.  It was a mistake getting rid of Silverwood and Root, as the two had started to move on Anderson. The two kiwis have to explain their selection policy, and the fact that England cannot catch.

I agree SS. If the whingers had of won the 4th test I reckon they would have gone into the 5th test as raging hard on favourites with a massive psychological advantage. They may still be fiercely determined to win and square the series to claim some sort of moral high ground victory but like you I think the wind has been taken out of their sails and conversely I think the Aussies will play with a bit more freedom knowing they can’t lose the Ashes.

We might even see some entertaining attacking cricket heaven forbid with some attacking bowling and field settings aimed at taking wickets. Wouldn’t that be refreshing instead of 7 men on the leg side and a boring bouncer fest.

England has had the crowds with them as well, naturally, which should give further pause for thinking on the part of those who run English cricket. What will Stokes and his mate say if the Brtits lose 3-1?

depends on whether England roll over mate - they'll be roasted if that happens

Apparently Stokes & Baz  have bigger fish to fry for Eng, then the Aussies or the Ashes, Ark. Not surprised one iota those two Kiwi born n bred boys would say that.....neither of them have won an  Ashes series before.

Bit risky Aust going in with the same 3 fast boys....especially after Old Trafford.....all three couldnt bowl any worse....surely?

As for that bone gtr.....no different to the R&P bone, you and few others have been chewing on mate.....but I enjoy the banter....long may it continue.

Apparently Stokes said he would have chosen to bowl if he won the toss.
