Cox is slowing down, that's natural. But he overall is the best and most versatile ruckman I have ever seen since Farmer. Every club on the east coast rated him and wanted him when he was at his prime. People surely must take their minds back a few years, or at least past the derby on Sunday??

Cox was a brilliant ruckman. The best . But these things are subject to opinion.

I would say Sandilands has been much better in the second half of his career. The first half was very awkward & he couldn't hold a mark . But kudos to him for turning it around. He has been great for a few years now, and overcoming that foot injury which most of us thought would finish him.

Sandi is the Shaquille of the AFL, doesn't need to jump to dunk.
He is considerably stronger than both Coxy and Nic Nat, and gave them a bit of a towelling.

I agree COX is the best of Hairdo and Lurch BUT the best since Farmer?? , Cant buy that, Stephen Michael was better than all three.

I must admit I forgot old T.I

I stand corrected Baz, Michael was an out & out legend. He didn't go to the VFL but those who saw him here know how good he was. I think he polled 36 votes in the Sandover when it was just a 3-2-1 voting system.

My apologies ;)

Fair point Bazza, as a cat fan it frustratedme no end he didnt come to us. We had him "signed" on the old form 4 for years on end. From my hazy memory he was "so close" on one occassion, and decided at the last minute to stay. I admire his stance on that. Just wished i could have seen him week in week out.

I can't disagree with you on that one S&S.TI was a super star who would have been an absolute super star at AFL level as it is today.
When TI was on the wane a bit,I took a very good friend from Melboure to see a Souths game.He is a mad Richmond member, and lets face it , you have to be mad to follow Richmond(only joking).
TI had what we Souths supported thought was an ordinary game for TI.My mate said,"What do you guys want from this guy!!If you think that was a bad game from him then I would have been drooling seeing him play a good game.He is a super star in every aspect of the game,I would love to see him in the Richmond colour next week.He would kill them in the VFL"
Not bad praise from a Victorian who never thought much of any West Aussie who made it in the VFL.

Gee a/man fancy that a Victorian who new about footy, who wouldda thought that!!

On the back foot there a bit old timer. ;)

Oh it goes both ways a/man, i have met many an uneducated WA footy supporter too ( shock horror). Depends on which one/s you have the fortune or in cases mis-fortune to talk too. All we got to hear in Victoria was George Grjilusich, hardly a man with an unbias view.

My point being anchor, neither one could lay claim to be anywhere near as good as Cox. When Lurch strings 5, 10, 20 good games together, let's debate this again.

58 Do try and gain some perspective and objectivity. I cant remember either cox or hairdo get anywhere near Sandi on the day. But I don't bang on and pretend I am an authority. To say Sandi is not anywher near as good as Cox (this is what you said) is laughable. Everyone is laughing at you from this point unless there is a retraction.

To say that they are both good ruck men and Cox may have the edge because he is a premership ruckman is balanced. You are obviously not.

Will look at your future posts without seriousness.

Mate, bit of advice for you....go outside and take a deep breath. Let the clean fresh air get inside and aerate your brain. Your posts are getting sillier with each one :woohoo:

I don't necessarily disagree Baz, but as with most opinions, it's very subjective. IMHO, Cox has been just as good as TI.
