Looks like his career is over unless he changes his stance on getting vaccinated. Already been told he can't train with the club. I imagine the same applies to WAFL players so suiting up for a WAFL club would also be out of the question.

apparently he released a social media post this afternoon contradicting West Coasts statement saying that he was on sick leave and that he had a doctors certificate. Rather confusing to say the least.

Very strange the differing stories, pretty obvious which one is the correct one though and Jack looks rather silly for not just speaking the truth.
A maligned player but I think he's a top quality forward with plenty of good footy left in him and will be a shame for the game if this is where he decides to hang up the boots, would probably have got to the 500 goal milestone.

Apparently he hasn't complied with the AFL's player vax rules by the due date, so he's in breach of the AFL/WCE Covid rules and is stood down until he complies, I think his pay then drops to the equivalent of $23k annually rather than $500k+++ he would be on.

Surely the fact that 99% of his team mates have complied should allay any vax fears, which he probably heard of on some totally unqualified "influencers" podcast or on some Tinfoil hat brigades website. Sorry Jack but you are a complete numpty.

He’s sure us a numpty!!  If 99% of his teammates are vaxed, what’s he thinking?  They are still walking, talking and training, so what’s your problem Jack????  He has the choice of leaving the game with great credentials or being known as the twit that destroyed a great career over vaccination.

Simpson came out today and said that he was hopeful that Darling would still be a part of the season. The indication was that he may be waiting for the protein based vaccination (Novavax) which should be available sometime later in February.

I saw that interview Mike, but I can’t fathom what his problem us.  Still, I can’t understand any if the anti vax twits either.  I think that with a lot of them, common sense flies out the window because “they’re not going to tell me what to do “.

Do his kids have their other non-covid vaccines like everyone (Meningococcal, measles etc)   Government tells people to get those before kids are allowed at day care, kindy etc.  Whats the difference?  
He should have picked a more worthy cause to live and die by.  What a flog.  

Not sure if that's correct, does the government really require kids to get those vaccines before they're allowed to attend daycare and kindergarten? My wife might tell me different but I don't recall anything like that with my kids. And I'm no anti Vaxer i do what the authorities tell me to do when it comes to vaccines. I'm more concerned with what I put my body through from the ages of 15 to 40 than a few ten second jabs from the Guv...
And Darling is dumber than I thought if he is seriously going to waste all that talent and dollars on this stuff
