I wouldn't be too keen on living right on a footy oval with balls banging into your walls and windows on occasions depending on which part your apartment is located along with whistles and crowd noise all day every second weekend and bright lights on training nights. I lived in an apartment in Beijing in 2007 and as we were the only residents on our section of the floor it was pretty good....but looking across at other apartment blocks and all the crap that goes with it...well you can leave me out.

BC, I wasn't talking about living there, I meant as a financial viability standpoint for a WAFL Club, I agree with you Apartment living wouldn't be my thing ( however when I retire it may be I live in a 1940s Western Suburbs house and the maintenance is never ending), although facing on the other would be OK, the locality is great, from what I know the take up has been good and sales are strong, as I say I go there a few times every week to use the Revo Gym ( also highly popular another money spinner for Claremont) and there are already a lot of people using the complex, The PTA also lease the underground Car Park for train patrons.

Back on topic, if McHenry says your safe your in trouble. I like all the grounds with the exception of EF. Should knock it over asap. EF can train out of Cockburn and home games at SF.

Yes I realise that Baz...I was just making general comment about the concept of apartment living facing onto a footy oval as I go past it every day on the train coming home from work and it looks pretty closed in and claustrophobic to me.

Opens nicely onto the oval and has a great precinct around it. older downsizers being the key in the Western Suburbs, walk to Claremont Qrt . the Train , The Pub, easy to the City.

In any case all the apartments are over 60% sold, the ones with a view to the oval going first, so there plenty around wanting them.

Claremont Show grounds will be next.

Said it b4 in another thread.

The dog walkers who live there will have Claremont FC off in around 5 years of completion.

What consensus are you drawing upon Bazza - fantasy?

How can something that has not happened be a fact - more deluded fantasy?
