Its official the club is now in voluntry administration as of today, with debts of 1 Million, the WAFC have apparently confirmed they will not be covering outstanding liabilties but the admistrators are confident the club can continue trading for the time being.

This is absolutely devastating news for all Wafl people, one of the great traditional wa clubs may be about to dissapear in humiliating circumstances.

If this is not a urgent wake up call for every board member at every wafl club that change and a new era is needed then I dont know what is.

It's an incorporated sporting club which means it doesn't automatically get audited and members aren't liable for debts.

I wouldn't have expected any other response from you Bazza. How about pointing out that the responsibility for this environment where it BELONGS: Gavin Taylor and the WAFC?

Swan 42: I am just glad Subiaco never ended up as Carine Warwick as the Commission wished us to become under the 'football 2000' blue print.

Exactly c22. Your club trashed your club's heritage. What sort of WAFL, and I only use WAFL for conveience as it won't be the WAFL, will there be for your club to play in? A WAFL with Subi, your club and the two WA domiciled AFL clubs!

My have complete and utter contempt for Gavin Taylor and the WAFC. Every decision they have made in the past 20 years, if not longer, has been to the detriment of the WAFL. They should be sacked en masse and people who are generally interested in the viability of the WAFL should be appointed.

I hate WP as much as the next guy but I don't want to see them go under whatever has happened at Joondalup to cause this situation.

Maybe a moment is approaching here with the AFL elite hijacking the game for the WAFL to delink from the AFL, sell the licenses back and fund an independent footy competition in this state.
