Some of you need to get off your moral high horse. It's more than likely happening at your own club also in some way shape or form. Obviously it got out of control with us and here we are today.
But it will be resolved I am sure and things will continue as they are in the WAFL.

I was just reading Victorian AFL clubs reaped around $100m from pokies last year with Hawthorn $24m and Carlton $19m the biggest winners...maybe WP could put some machines up there for a few extra bucks. Christ, it's far enough away from Crown so they couldn't complain.

We do live in different times Bazza but I just can't see anyway that they will allow West Perth to fold.
I find it Vulgar that Jeremy Mcgovern can get 1 million a year to play footy and the WAFC can't clear the issue with West Perth put their own people in for 3 years and move forward. I would even be happy to be bailed out in exchange for missing the finals as a penalty. West Perth have mismanaged here but for what they have contributed through the turnstiles throughout their history I don't think it's much to ask.

You're forgetting about slippery Cicco's legendary brown paper bags mate....

GWS not sure how you can draw the line with McGovern and his worth in the AFL market, Darling,Lecras, the two Hills are all WP development products and would be on similar money so not sure what you are getting at with that comment.

Yes WP have contributed enormously to the WAFL fabric over the history of your club and the various manifestations of the League no one doubts that or has attempted to devalue it, in fact 90% of the comments are supporting of your club and in many there is a tinge of 'there but for ..... goes my club'.

I suspect that others may and it is my feeling that when your club made decisions to move, to take developments from JCC, the state coffers, to place your club at the behest of others similar to what my club did but more so you leave yourselves in a precarious position. Yep EP have come out of it financially ahead of the game it then begs the questions of how could you end up in such a position.

My feelings about the situation are also tinged with anger. Anger that when the WAFL is struggling to survive why would one of its proudest constituents allow itself to provide those who want to butcher it for their own gain with the ammunition needed to achieve their agenda.

A more reasonable solution is to hand back the funds given to clubs for players drafted, the nerve of those AFL fuckers taking control of the Colts and all payments going forward. In fact, that is basically what they are endeavouring to do, they want control of the State Leagues and the pussies at the WAFC are like fluffers on a porn set

OK on a more immediate note, how is this going to affect the players and what they put out on the park against Peel tomorrow?
