Do you want SDFC to fold, because that is what will happen if we don't take urgent action and make it viable.

Is SANFL run by the AFL?

SANFL a bit smarter.They owned AAMI.Now that the two afl teams are playing at Adelaide oval I think the plan is to sell aami and at least the money will benefit the clubs.

Yep, can't work out why Mike thinks they are running SANFL , in fact they are far smarter and have decoupled by selling the licences which is what we should do.

Bazza some very wimple questions for you at answer with respect to your above post:

(i) how much and to whom should they sell the licences?
(ii) what should be done with the proceeds of the sale of the licences?
(iii) how does the sale of the licences improve the viability of the WAFL?

Agree where you going with this - the licenses are worth millions and you cannot trust the WAFC to spend it wisely - honestly they'd invent some 'development' thing and hire some more of their buddies on big salaries - that's where it would go.

I have laid this out numerous times. But here we go again.

Come to agreed amounts on the values of the two businesses, and their assets, including the divesting of accumulated assets of the two franchises back to WAFL;
Funds raised by the sales would be set up in a WAFL Future Fund Trust to provide ongoing income streams.
WAFL appoints a board of independent Governors to oversee its management;
Control returns to the WAFL clubs on a equal basis.;
The WAFC is disbanded, along with its Constitution that controls WAFL;
The WAFL embarks on a new era as an independent league with a new community based look and model that will sustain its viability into the 2020s and beyond.

Was it the lavishness catering for match day lunches, the bar bill what is it!

The skinny I have suggests it was what we all accuse Subi of doing, player payments with the difference being WP don't have the subi slush fund so they were living well and truly beyond their means.

The reason for asking is that depending on the real, actual and truthful reason will effect my view of what needs to the next steps taken!

That's exactly the question I was asking 2 days ago Grump and was hoping last nights meeting would shed some light...but I still haven't seen or heard exactly how it was spent and what the debt was accumulated on. The ATO and VW bills are pretty straight forward but what about the rest?

Tuppence ha'penny is what the entire WAFC is worth and throw in Gavin Taylor.

right at this moment they are worth $250,000.00 to the West Perth Football Club Inc. Because that is what they have extended to them to keep them playing for the rest of the season.

You would want threepence back for the tuppence ha'penny you paid.

I not that you didn't even attempt to answer my three questions with respect to the sale of the licences.

I look forward to you being the first one refusing the 1/4 Million from the WAFC when SDFC ever need it to keep the players on the ground.

BC not sure how you could reckon a tax bill is straight forward (unless I have not picked up on something) I would have thought that it would be the first thing you pay. I have never run a business but have run an office with a budget and 100 staff, they got paid and the office ran ok, customers not always happy but ....... the point is that I never ran over my budget and could always meet the dreaded efficiency dividend imposed by political masters, running a football club is the same, live within your means and adjust to the demands of your area.

Exactly. If just one year they were unable to pay their tax then that alone is cause for alarm - but they'd done this 3 years in a row ??? Its bad enough to have the WAFC bothering you, but the ATO!!!
