I personally have never seen those types of articles about WAFL teams before and don't want to see them in the future either

Clownsend writes a lot of shit and has a history of it, including today where he wrote Ricky Cary "kneed" Kody Manning in the buttocks last Sat. Now he never stated if it were an accident, provoked, deliberate? He just lets it hang out there, probably fed this allegation from someone at West Perth without evidence to back it up.

SD I watched the post game coaches interview with Mona's that someone posted and he stated that it happened a very long way behind play so I don't expect it was an accident.

And?? So Bill's words are verbatum then? Since when is anyone guilty of anything until brought up in front of the tribunal after complaining officially and not in the media.
I have spoken with Swans and they were dumbfounded at Bill's whinge..anyway pretty low to complain through the media regardless, , if it were such a big issue how come not one umpire saw it? They would be all over that in this day and age.
Anyway on with the big boys game = footy
Beneath the Southern cross i stand, on Bassendean Oval, can in hand, Swan Districts, you Farkin Beauty!

Well 100 metres behind play might assist lack of umpire observation
So- was it the main coach who was so shocked at Bills revelation?
Ever think that as Townsend was watching the game that HE himself may have seen the act and accounted for it in writing rather than receiving a "WINGE"
just some thoughts ..

It beggars belief that a reporter would be watching something "100 metres" behind play rather than watcing the ACTUAL play.

Speaking of quality one must really congratulate The West today. Their exhaustive and extensive preview of the WAFL games in today's West is perhaps without parallel anywhere in the world. There are 10 paragraphs on the East Perth Peel game.

A HUGE 26 words on Perth and 21 words on West Perth and in the ultimate 26 words for the Swans Claremont game.

Oh and what were in the 73 words for the two WAFL matches? Merely mentioning who was in and who was out for each team. They also managed to throw in the "former Eagles (sic) utility player".

WHAT AN ABSOLUTE DISGRACE.

Funny how you didn't complain about the lengthy article in yesterdays west about a former afl player who is now back at swans.Maybe a bit of hypocrisy.

C22 where is the hypocrisy? If you think that a SUM TOTAL of 73 words to preview two games is acceptable then so be it. I don't agree. Historically there have been some absolutely magnificent games between Swans and Claremont pre- and post- the introduction of the Eagles. One example in recent times was a game at Basso where we had to win to have a chance of qualifying for the finals that Clint Wheeldon described as the best atmosphere he had seen at a WAFL qualifying game. All the 26 words used to describe the claremont Swans game were a listing of the ins and outs and I quote"

"Swan Districts and Claremont regained important forwards for today's clash at Steel Blue Oval, Matt Rogers back for Swans and Tom Lee in for Claremont."

If that is a decent preview of a game I rest my case.

Hypocrisy would be sitting on your hands for 7 years of alignments because you were winning games and playing finals every year and then suddenly come out all against the alignment when you are 0-5 to start the season!
Interestingly all has gone quiet again on the alignment now they have won 2 games in a row!
