Can anyone say that the WAFC is at all interested in the WAFL competition, clubs, players, embers and supporters?

In my opinion the answer is an unambiguous NO.

One of the most important reasons the bottom has fallen out of the WAFL crowds in the past two seasons is the host club alignment. If the WAFC was really interested in the WAFL competition it would be scrapped for the 2017 season.

If the WAFC was interested in the WAFL it would be meeting with the State Government and Opposition to ensure that the WAFL clubs are given a revenue stream through the new footy stadium.

What decision(s) have they made that has been positive to the WAFL in the past two years?

What decisions have they made that have been negative to the WAFL competition?

Unfortuately for us , and if you will excuse the somewhat colourful description , there is a permanent suntan line in the perfect shape of a large Victorian scrotum around the chins of the WAFC mate (.!)

They own the licences of the 2 animals here but where are the benefits or dividends being funneled to , certainly not it's lifeblood the teams that actually make it happen for 120 minutes every winter weekend

Pretty damned hard not to harbor disgust in the pricks

AFL Victoria (which by the way is a registered entity) geez what a stinking monster that's become

It's good to see the good fight from some posters on Ozfooty pity the people that run your clubs accepted the shoosh money to keep quiet about the alignment, the only person that I've heard that even gave a Yelp was Raponi , the seven non alignment clubs folded like a pack of cards.

PN: Claremont has made a few noises about it on their web site so I would give them a little bit of credit; but as for the rest, includding South and SD, two supposed standard bearers for tradition, nothing at all.

Apologies to Claremont then, maybe some of the clubs that kept quiet were in the running for the alignment seriously though all the bitching that goes on here isn't reciprocated by the clubs they support.

From Swans point of view Harding has been pretty critical of the alignment at times and I think the club is not in favour of it but to some extent the WAFC have got clubs like Swans over a barrel given their precarious financial position.

Yeah no doubt re financial position some clubs hands were tied, I still think a lot of clubs were bent over to easily
but I don't think crowd numbers can solely be blamed on the alignment, Swans were always going to get a down turn due to the ladder standing, Perth supporters have probably given up and who could blame them don't really know what the answer is blaming the alignment is bollocks though.

mikeh true enough -- Harding got emotional once at three-quarter time against EP which made for good tele.

Broadlly, I think one could put the position of the clubs as follows:

against

WP -- concertted campaign
SF
SD
CL

agnostic

EF

Favour

Subi
Perth
Peel
EP

which, of course, is very close to the majority of clubs; but, as others have pointted out in the past, all clubs are implicatted because they take the money attached to the alignment agreement.

That's a bit unfair AR, I'm sure some Sharks supporters believe in God :P
