Very easy to make simplistic assumptions like that Freezin. How many years did the WB spend down or near the bottom of the ladder prior to Beveridge coming along? How many top end draft picks did they pick up in the last 5 years compared to Fremantle? A shed load more as you would say. Bevo comes along at the right time when others before him did the hard yards while the kids were being drafted and nurtured in the VFL magoos and whammy Bevo gets all the accolades.

Full credit to him though he's got them playing a great brand of footy but you need the cattle to be able to do it.
Get on your bike.

I ask the same question again. But as usual you will not answer.
Grassy "Do you think WAFL is the equal or better than the AFL"

This should be the end of the thread mate, he's embarrassed himself, and I'm still lolling at the posters that bought into it.

Grassy wrote: Doesn't change one thing.

Ross said what he said, pretty much made a major excuse for yet another failing and really,if if's that big a problem for him, take your Reserve players to the VFL to close the gap.

I must have missed something Peter.Usually the sycophantic AFL Media here don't touch things like this. But they didn't miss what he said.Must have missed their prepared AFL centric scripts.

I showed you what he said stop lying, you're embarrassing yourself.

Grassy wrote: I never said there wasn't a gap Anchor.

Ross did.

He had the problem,not me.

Again,if the gap's such a problem, close it by putting a team in the VFL.

Problem solved.

Of course there's a gap no one in Australia would disagree with him.

Nailed it Freezer , Dynamic Innovative Development is not in the Lyon career book, he leaves the hard stuff to his predecessors, then swoops in grabs the glory and the cash on the way through, as you say the list is aged with a small group of keeping the show on the road, not for much longer, the depth issue and increasing past it / / spud brigade is pretty substantial...Myanes, Ballantynes, Subans, Dawsons, et al.Lyon aint the sort of joke to admit he stuffed up, hence the wafl blame game.

Grassy wrote: So then, why not have your Reserves join the VFL.

It gets back to my original arguement.

If Ross has a problem, join the Reserves Competition to the AFL and close that gap.

Why should that be a problem?

Oh yes,you lot with your Boasted Millions can't afford it,can you?!

But you lot and West Coast are NOW sceaming for an AFL Licence in the Women's Competition.Money's no object niw,is it,despite the Eagles' too cute approach on checking on expenses. What a load of Absolute BS!

Do you know how to read? show me where in that media conference it says he has a problem, you're just rambling now.

Grassy "Do you think WAFL is the equal or better than the AFL"

Anchor is the VFL equal or better than the AFL?.....it is pretty obvious both comps are below the AFL in regards to flooding, zoning, kicking backwards or sideways, faking freekicks and providing superficial expensive entertainment...no way the WAFL could match that.....dont think the VFL could better it either.....your question to Grassy is on par with "is the A league equal or better than the EPL?"

DD.....on your logic then Lyon's success at St Kilda and Freo is down to his predecessors then....as is Clarksons at Hawthorn then.......fark me why cant Lyon just put his hand up and simply say my team is old and shite and my coaching processes arent working because other coaches have sussed them out and moved forward with creative forward thinking.....Beveridge has given his players the balls and open license to take the game on, give
the crowd something exciting to watch...the previous coach didnt....that WBD v Crows was end to end stuff with goals galore.....like the good old days whete Plugga kicked a bag and so did Dunstall.....Lyon has killed the game as a spectacle with his over emphasis on defensive pressure......the game has moved forward with the likes of GWS, St Kilda, Melbourne playing attractive have a go footy.....yeah the footy will get turned over but so what....Lyon hasnt got the balls to do that so deflect his own shortcomings elsewhere like the WAFL because the comp is shite compared to the AFL laden VFL....yeah I get it.

You twist your Arguement all you want mate.

Lyon has a Problem.Blaming the gap between AFL and WAFL is one thing.

What other excuses can he make for O and 7?

What do you reckon's gone wrong Anchor?

I've left you lot alone on your precious thread, but you've followed me here.

Tell me you 3,including DD and Pete?!

What the Hell's gone wrong with you lot?!

Don't dodge the issue, now you are here!

plenty of issues but the most standout one is player quality. try and write a list of players that if available other AFL clubs would be interested in

fyfe
Neale
hill
sandilands is probably to far along for trade.
Alex Pearce would get some interest on late form.

If Ross wants to play them in the VFL be our guest ;)

Dead right Dwert ...not too mention what do VFL clubs Port Melbourne, Williamstown, Coburg, North Ballarat & Frankston all have in common? But I do love reading the absolute tripe that Anchor posts and actually believes is completely correct!
