I'd be interested in people's views on playing Saturday arvo in 39 degrees. I think it's ridiculous and the games should be rescheduled to say 6pm. Surely the clubs and league have a duty of care to players and common sense would prevail.

Apparently the games will be shortened and they will have more interchange players but still doesn't make sense to me when they could play later under lights.

Be it WAFL,AFL or wherever, they are going to kill a kid one day. Footy is a winter sport for a reason.

Down to 37 degrees Saturday

37 is still too hot for footy.

Might be 37 on March 19th too..But I agree with the above, they should play the games early and if that means playing the early colts games early on the Sunday morn instead then so be it. But I think is will be a lot like last year when SD played WP at Basso and each quarter went for about 12-15mins I reckon

Unless you are going to start the games very early in the morning (i.e. 7.00 am) by around 11.00 am the temperature will be in the early to mid 30s. As a matter of interest what time did the AFL schedule the game for the devil incarnate (Eagles) last week end in Adelaide.

Whilst it is not ideal to play in those sorts of temperatures, this is what is going to be around until at least mid-March.

These games should be scheduled to play under lights at Rushton Park,Medibank,HBF and Freo Oval
