Hagdorn mentioned that Perth was contemplating a move to the armatures last year so I find it strange that he didn't mention Perth on radio today.

Yep I have heard Hackdorn mention Perth too as the obvious choice..if his figures are correct then there will be only 1 team remaining and that is $ubiaco. I think we probably wont have the WAFL as we know it in 5 years unfortunately as it seems the powers to be are out to get it. That's when I will switch to another sport and not follow it again, they are C##ts!! The comp was flying in 2012 with 4 radio stations, print media, crowds rising and a stable TV coverage. And then the word alignment got mentioned..it has been down hill ever since

Good to see you focus on these two GRASSY, although Maumill is a SFFC bloke, they might as well rename his show the dockers hour, that is all he bangs on and on about ad nausem, unless of course the eagles make the gf and he gently jumps on board, as for Hagdorn he has no time for wafl, and is a complete tosser, although so of his big breaking stories have been on the mark, the biggest being his tip about the host clubs which turned out to be spot on,

I agree with what you say in the main, its what I have been saying for a few years now , the WAFL will not survive in its current form for another decade, but why do you keep repeating this BS about the comp flying and crowds growing in 2012, its total BS , check your facts the attendances peaked in 2009 and dropped steadily from there.

The whole momentum of the comp lifted markedly on the back of the best WAFL GF in 20 years - the 2010 GF, was gaining beautifully in 2012 then it started to decline

Thats BS, the figures dont bare it out, merely your perception.

The biggest home and away attendance of 11 500 in 2009 has never been matched since.

Im not saying the alignment has not wrecked the comp, as it surely has, but it was struggling well before the announcement, if we had seen the 2009 figures increase each year then maybe so, also the ABC had given notice years before the alignment it was pulling out due to changed policy and declining ratings, it hang on just then when the excuse of budget cuts came dumped it.

i beleive tbe killer after 2009 was the rise and success of the local AFL clubs, dockers made their first GF and now the eagles are back.

Oh well whatever you reckon Bazza, I am sure more on here agree with my assessment than you, you may be confusing yourself with yourself because you have been talking the comp down ever since the Footygoss days! Figures don't always tell the truth of momentum
